Pros +
- The location was excellent, the staff was helpful, but we were surprised that the room was far away from the main building where the breakfast, storage and happy hour took place.
- Mario and Suhail really tried to build a fun environment but given the circumstances, it was difficult. There is a kitchen for cooking but it is basic. A vending machine with Lavazza coffee. The location is the highlight as it is 5 mins to the main train station. The restaurants were great and a nice change from Italian. I recommend the Peruvian and Greek restaurant (Ippokratis). Finally, when I bought up issues such as the water pressure, Mario was right onto it. This young man is really a godsend to any business, let alone this one. He was able to apply his knowledge to fix any issue. And along with his partner-in-crime, Suhail, they make a great team.

Cons -
- It was a very practical room, just for sleeping, but the air conditioning didn't work well, the t.v. was on, but the remote was not easy to use, and the shared bathroom was smelly and humid.
- For two weeks I stayed, not once was room offered to be cleaned. I do understand that now is hard for everyone plus costs are out of your hands, but understand this: We are in the midst of a pandemic and to not clean your guests rooms is not only unhygienic, it is downright reckless. What if I picked up Covid off a surface or from someone while outside, then I bring it back and spread it around the room, what would you do? You need to do better in this field. I mean, I was given one small roll of toilet paper that lasted two days. Sure, I went out and bought more but that is beside the point.... I was a guest, not a housemate. For the first week or so the water pressure was diabolical. Eventually the Host fixed it and all was fine. If you have issues, it will need replacing due to the city's mineral issues. Also the mattress was bad to sleep on because it was lopsided. And also I understand the pressures of living and working in a hostel 24/7, and it is not pleasant. Management need to pay attention to this and enforce a roster system to allow their staff adequate time outside to go and do something. The staff are being worked too hard and they are clearly tired and creating a toxic environment through no fault of their own. Finally, the kitchen system is a disaster. Waiting for 30+ mins to cook because the guests decide to cook a royal banquet. Allocate 15 mins per kitchen time, get the people to write their name on a board so everyone can cook at their allocated time, and only allow people to eat in the dining area. And because you keep losing utensils and create an unhygienic sharing environment, charge a deposit which will cover any losses due to kitchen stuff missing. And one last thing, the wifi was horrible. This can be easily remedied with repeaters in the room that allow for stronger reception.
