    Pros +

    • Walking distance to train station and tourist attractions. Clean and very very friendly and helpful staff.
    • Excellent location. Walking distance to attractions like Trevi Fountain, The Colosseum, parks, restaurants, and shopping centers.
    • The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The location was perfect for exploring Rome on foot and near plenty of places to eat.

    Cons -

    • I liked everything about the Virgilio
    • Breakfast - selection available was poor, no fresh fruit and at 9am when looking for bread was told it was all gone - even though breakfast did not finish until 10am
    • there was a mildewy smell in the room. The bed was not comfortable, very still and only one pillow provided. There was no running hot water for the first couple of days. The wifi was not strong or steady at all.

Your front desk manager made both my sister and I feel at home. Mattia was professional, polite, knowledgeable and very helpful. The breakfast was more than we expected, there were a variety of hot and cold items to choose from. Overall the Virgilio is a hotel I will refer family and friends to when traveling to Rome.

The staff is extremely kind and welcoming. The room was nice, spacious and with a nice view. There is a great cafe near the hotel. The location of the hotel is great. It is close to the famous landmarks. There is also a bus stop nearby, for those who don't feel like walking.

Very spacious room, direct to national road, 5m walk to Fontana di Trevi, very good breakfast included. Strongly recommend, specious & clean room and perfect location.

Kind staff: thanks to Mattea and cleaning ladies specially!Good location, clean room, with a good comfortable bathroom! Water preasure is good.

This is not really suitable for a family with a baby! Room is small and not well sound-proof, walls, door and windows are very thin and the heating makes the room very dry! On first day, the cleaning lady was working till early evening and we could hear all kinds of noises! TV channels are a bit boring! There is no easy pathway for a stroller, so you have to carry up stuff on stairs! Breakfast was very average and monotonic and far from authentic Italian cuisine (coffee was terrible), but staff were kind :)

I reserved in advance (3 month) and I paid a very good price. I liked I was able to cancel it anytime. I loved the bath room it was nice.

There is 3 rooms in this (economy double room) category I think. We got the one facing the street. As usually these kind of rooms are noisy. It was also colder than expected but there was heating. The shower in the bathroom was not really well designed. The two parts of the door was not perfectly fitted each other so this way some water get out.

Great little hotel in the Monti section of Rome. Within walking distance of most tourist attractions and churches. Lots of cafes, bars and restaurants near by. Also within walking distance of central train station.

If you sleep with your window open: the road may be a little noisy with street cleaning and garbage pick up at night. For the rest it was a perfect location.
