Gemelli Hotel

I made the staff aware that the toilet wasn’t working and did nothing to fix it. The toilet was running all night.

Check in was a breeze. Very close to public transit.

The shower was too small for me, was hard to fit in it.

The radiator in my bathroom was cluttering loudly and it disturbed my sleep many times during the night.I did complain to the reception but it was not fixed.

The fact that is located in Rome

NO wifi in the room. They said if you want internet you can come here at the hall (we were staying at the dependance which was located far from the main building). They didn’t say before that they had no internet at this dependance.NO hair dryer NO steaming ironNO toilet door!They give you 4 different keys to enter at the dependance .

Very convenient location, 2 minutes from the hotel the railway station, 3 stops then change to the metro and you are in the center of the old city. Delicious breakfast. The staff is always ready to answer any questions and help as much as possible. Thank you, everything was as comfortable as possible.I arrived before check-in time and was immediately moved into a room (there was such an opportunity).There was a very lack of iron and cups or glasses in the room. Everything else is great.

I liked the location close to the Hospital and the railway station. The room is clean and meeting the expectation. The breakfast, considering the average in the other hotels in Rome, is superbe!

Breakfast level is good, but the adoption of plastic glasses is not appropriate for quality and environmental aspects.

- The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable - The buffet breakfast did not have huge variety, but who needs that? The pastries and especially the freshly baked croissants were great.- Convenient location for the Gemelli hospital in a quiet street.

- The wifi connection at my room on the 1st floor was poor

I guess it's OK for a 3* hotel. Was close to Marriott where I attended a conference. Room was OK and big (for 3 people) because I booked the last one available (price was the same like Marriot which was sold out).

Upon check-in I couldn't enter the room and then I found out some of the housemaids were hanging out in there; presumably because it had a balcony for smoking.The shower is for dwarves.FYI - the taxis might stop on the main road and not enter the side road where the hotel is located.

I Don’t recommend

Paper thin walls. Bathroom smelled like mildew. The shower was so small you could barely turn around in it, and the soap was just placed on the shower floor (not in a shelf or a hanging dispenser), so it couldn’t be reached without bending over, which was almost impossible in the tiny shower.On the Booking site it says they offer room service, but they do not. There is also no coffee/tea/water in the room or in the lobby.

I picked it because of the proximity to the Gemelli hospital. The hotel is located on a quiet street, the rooms were warm and comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful, I was given clear instructions for self check in prior to arrival.

While they had a good variety of pastry, I would have preferred more variety in the selection of cheese, ham. There were no eggs available. The bathroom was extremely small, it was difficult to use the shower and the bidet because of the tight space and this considering I am a slim person.

I liked the staff was very helpful and the hotel was nice and clean. The breakfast was good.

The location was away from everything and the bed was a little uncomfortable.

The place was quiet and nice. Still you can easily reach the center (train station is 5 minutes from the hotel). The breakfast was great, there was a wide choice of foods - sweet and prosciutto options. The coffee machine was pretty good and made delicious coffee. I really liked the smell of pastry early in the morning. The staff was truly friendly and really meant it.

The hotel is located in a calm district where local people live and is very close to the university. The bed was big enough and quite comfortable. We enjoyed our silent nights. The breakfast was was above our expectations.

We stayed in a room in the second floor where we had NO internet connection. Although I conveyed that to the hotel reception repeatedly, somehow they fell short in solving the problem. The first day, they told me that it was going to be fixed the next day. When the time comes, we were notified that the name of Wi-Fi connection and password were changed but the problem persisted during our stay for four days. Because of my job I had to work on my computer at times and the only way I could do that was only by sitting uncomfortably on the lobby sofa. It was totally inconvenient. Besides, I must say that the reception staff was not very friendly, polite and helpful. I had the impression that they were restless and unwilling to help their clients when they have a substantial problem regarding they stay.
