    Pros +

    • Liked the size of the room.
    • We stayed here in order to visit the Vatican. We choose the hotel due to location, off-road private parking, and access to the metro and bus routes into central Rome. The location was perfect for our purposes. A 20 minute walk to the Vatican, less than 5 minutes to the bus. The hotel was very clean, the staff were very helpful, the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast were adequate for our needs. The parking was a good size, but with a limited number of spaces, as you would expect for a central city hotel. The buses and metro were easy to use, and convenient. There were plenty of local bars and restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. The staff were really helpful and couldn't have been nicer.
    • Great location for the Olympia Stadium, circa 15min walk so ideal for the six nations. But also only a 10 minute Uber in to the main attractions. The staff are really friendly and helpful with a good choice of food for breakfast.

    Cons -

    • Bit noisy....bit out of the way....but manageable after a while.....breakfast boring and the same after three days.
    • Limited menu for dinner, so don’t expect much more than standard hotel food.
    • We booked a room with a king-sized bed and got a queen. Also, didn’t love the neighborhood, but it seemed safe.

Helpful and friendly front desk and restaurant staff. Made us feel at home.

We booked a room with a king-sized bed and got a queen. Also, didn’t love the neighborhood, but it seemed safe.

The receptionist was very nice and accomodating . We had a very early flight and we knew that we couldn't get our room until 1500 for checkin time but we felt very tired by about 1100 and called the hotel to ask if we could get our room earlier. He said to come for check out time about 1200/1230 and we can see then if there will be a room ready. We got our bus from the centre and got there for about 1200. By 1240we had our room. I forgot the receptionists name but he was so good and understanding. Top !!

I liked everything. There wasnt anything bad . All 4 star quality in my opinion!

Utter Disappointment at AC Hotel Marriott Clodio Roma

Utter Disappointment at AC Hotel Marriott Clodio RomaWhere do I begin? If you're looking for a relaxing, comfortable stay in Rome—this is not the place. I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with both air conditioning drainage issues and a completely dysfunctional iron. Sounds minor? Try spending a summer night in Rome with warm air and soggy carpet. The room smelled faintly of mildew thanks to the AC draining problem, which apparently wasn't a surprise to staff ("Ah yes, again?"), and the carpet under the unit felt like a sponge. Lovely. As for ironing? Good luck. The iron was a relic from another century, sputtering water and leaving more wrinkles than it removed. I might as well have rolled around in my suitcase.Service was polite, but ineffective—smiles don’t solve engineering issues. I expected more from a Marriott-branded property. Instead, I got the sense of a hotel coasting on the name and location, not service or functionality.Would I return? Only if I developed a sudden nostalgia for damp floors and crumpled shirts.

The staff at the restaurant were very corteous, ready to help and always with a smile. The room was excellently clean. The hotel is very modern and 20mins away by walk to/from Stadio Olimpico

The staff at reception can be a little bit more friendly and smile a bit more too

Iffy location. Charged for continental breakfast. Had to ask 3 times to have something printed.

Very nice, clean and quiet hotel. Good breakfast, tiny but good enough gym, friendly and helpful staff. For me the location was excellent considering the places I needed to go during my stay.

Rome is not a cheap city when it comes to hotel prices, but price compared to quality was reasonable good in this hotel.

    Staff are excellent.

coffee quality in breakfast room.bed was too hard for my preference.

    Good

The hotel charged my credit card prior to my arrival even prior to the deadline of free cancellation option. When I asked for reason, I was told the hotel was fully booked and therefore they simply decided to charge the room ahead. It caused me a technical problem and it was in contradiction to the agreed conditions of the booking. Disappointment.

It's newly renovated and in a nice residential area.

Far away from everything. Dependent on taxi or metro for transportation which is far away. Not in an ideal location and expensive. Summers in Rome are hot and it will take at least 15 min or more to reach the closest metro stop depending on how fast of a walker you are.

Nice bed, room is like new. Friendly staff. Location perfect for Olympic Stadium.

Food menu was not all day, so twice we had to wait for the kitchen to ‘open’.

Lovely hotel and excellent staff who are very friendly and helpful. Great continental breakfast with lots of options from early until 10.30am which is perfect for the late risers! The rooms are a little tired but the bathroom in ours was new and modern with a great shower! It's a little bit out of Rome city centre but the Clodio bus terminal is a few minutes walk away that has lots of bus options to get you to various destinations quickly, and the metro is a 15-20 minute walk away!

We stayed in december and the radiators were turned on but with no way to turn it off or turn the heat down so nights were very warm! Waterpipes are loud and can be heard through the walls when water is running, but that's maybe not a surprise with an older building.

Breakfast was really good, every could choose. Location is ok, walking distance to metro & vatucan city (15min) or you can take a bus, which you can find just next to the hotel.

Room needs to be refurbished, as mentioned in previous comments, photos look better that the rooms actually look like.
