Pros +
- Everything!
- First of all, the staff are excellent. Very professional, friendly, and helpful. Top marks. The location is ideal for those who like to walk in the center of Rome. Breakfast options are high quality, and the breakfast room is among the best designed in the hotel, with original, intelligently curated rock music. Luxurious (five star hotel) bath products.
- Location is great. Staff are friendly.
Cons -
- The internet was surprisingly bad, among the worst of any hotel I've stayed at in Europe (or Africa, for that matter), which was a problem because I needed to use zoom for business. The staff say they are installing a new fiber system, which would be very important for people like me. As a "design hotel," some of the choices didn't work out so well, including the retro light switches which seem to produce different results each time you want to turn on the lights. Regarding the hotel design, it's more Tarantino than Jacques Garcia. Some elements work better than others. Overall, the breakfast area is more fun to sit in than the rooms, which were dark. The bathroom mirror was in an area with almost no light at all.
- TV remote doesn’t work. No controls on TV for manual control. No one was able to fix it. Then when they said they fixed it, it had an Italian channel and wouldn't change channels or turn off. That wasn't the biggest issue though. Bed was too short ( I'm only 169 cm tall) and definitely wasn't standard size. Width was fine as 2 beds were stuck together. Fan in bathroom doesn’t work and the excuse was that its automatic. Safety out of the window! I couldn't sleep in the hotel. Its not been a relaxing stay, the room is too dark, not very clean. Generally I was happy to leave. You have to ask for coffee and tea facilities and they said its not a standard although the room i booked included it under facilities. They took me for a ride.
- The light in the bathroom was a little dim for me but this did not detract from a great stay

The staff were just amazing - nothing was too much trouble for any of them - I even got a persoanl shopper to help me get some ice cream - Sofia, who was brilliant
The light in the bathroom was a little dim for me but this did not detract from a great stay
Easy to find, great location, lovely staff, had great charm and character. Loved cutting a piece of chocolate from the block at breakfast. Also liked being able order eggs of choice for breakkie.
From the moment we walked in, the receptionists treated us like old friends. Not in that rehearsed hospitality way—actually warm. The room itself? Gorgeous. That perfect blend of modern and cozy where you actually want to hang out, not just sleep. But honestly, it’s the people that made this place special. The breakfast team noticed my daughter loved omelette and made sure there was waiting for her the next morning.Little things. But they add up to something that feels rare these days.
Receptions and everyone worked there were really nice. The vibes even of the residents was good and friendly. The room was clean. The bed was also clean I slept comfortably.
The bathroom was clean of a first look when I arrived but the seat had stains and was clearly not cleaned after the previous resident! Even on the subsequent days, they only change the trash bag and replace towels. I think this is something they can work on because when I asked they said these cleaners are from a company and they send different cleaners on everyday. Other thing I did not like was the room lock. It was a regular one with a key, no chain, I felt uncomfortable. The location is close to the center but not the closest. The breakfast was not the best. They can have more options in terms of breads and bakery in general but the coffee was great.
The place is stunning - dark, moody, sexy! Warehouse vibes but super chic! The staff made our trip one that we won’t forget and completely spoilt us with birthday treats for my husband and knowledge of the city and recommendations! Sofia the guest manager is just a complete angel! Fabulous bar, fabulous breakfast. We will 1000% be back!
I wouldn’t normally leave reviews but the service received at Chapter Roma was second to none! The bar staff were so friendly and helpful and the front desk were incredible. Even on my checkout they prepared a takeaway coffee and breakfast for my taxi ride as I had overslept! Just really genuinely lovely people that made my trip to Rome super memorable. The hotel itself was clean and the design was contemporary but warm. I would highly recommend!
Great terrace with nice view. Also, staff was very accommodaties.
Light switches in the room required an advanced degree to operate succesfully.
I loved the designs and the staff. The room we had was very spacious which was very unique across the country. We also loved the design of the room. Mostly I enjoyed the staff. They were so helpful and kind.
The wifi in our room didn’t work whatsoever but it’s not a big deal.
The hotel, the Saff- very friendly, helpful, breakfast is very good
Shiwer was out of this world. Staff was fantastic. Food and bar drinks wsre vedy good. Overall great experience.
Nothing was bad. From the time we arrived until the time we left, all was fantastic.
Staff was incredibly kind. Hotel was located near everything! 1 minute walk to a corner store, pharmacy, souvenir store, and gelato shop! Quiet streets at night too! Rooms come with A/C and fully stocked bar.
Everything about the property was utterly fantastic! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcome and looked after. The services and facilities are so handy (front desk offer to keep your key so you don’t have to carry it round & luggage storage post checkout before you have to leave). The room was beautifully decorated, little touches are welcomed (slippers, robe, hairdryer, really gorgeous products). I was fortunate enough to have the small single room but with terrace balcony and that added an extra special touch to my solo birthday trip. Location is also spot on: only a 10 min walk to Trastevere, 10-20 min walk to Piazza Novana/Trevi Fountain/Spanish Steps/Pantheon, 40 min walk along the Tiber River to Vatican City and 40 min walk to Rome Termini. All worth walking and seeing the sights in between! However my main mention here would be the staff, they couldn’t do more for you. Breakfast was simple but had everything you need and the staff were not only so friendly but attentive. A special shoutout to Sofia (guest relations manager) who I had the pleasure of a great conversation with upon check in, showed me my room, offered any recommendation I’d need (as well as other front desk staff) and genuinely made me feel cared for. I will absolutely return to Chapter Roma on my next visit!!
Great location. Excellent facilities. Extremely clean and comfortable.Great staff, extremely friendly
the front of house staff were excellent - and the bar staff were brilliant! Also, we ate at the restaurant which was lovely and our meal was fantastic!
Excellent location in a modern yet nostalgic hotel with gorgeous decor, comfortable beds, and wonderful bathrooms/showers. Very outgoing staff.
Central location, people at the front desk were so welcoming and provided lots of suggestions of places to go. They’d ask how our day was, where we went etc.
There was a slight smell of sewerage in our room.
The Chapter Roma Hotel has a great location. You can actually walk everywhere. It has a cool style. Our room was spacious enough, with two large windows in the bedroom and a window in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The minibar was well-stocked, although it lacked sweets.Breakfast was very good. Everything was of good quality, and we didn't get bored during our seven-day stay. However, we want to emphasize that our excellent rating is mainly due to the excellent service. Excellent service at the front desk – special thanks to Sophia and Andre. The service at breakfast was also very friendly. The hotel also has a restaurant, Campocori, where we had a wonderful dinner – one of the two best in Rome. The food and service (special thanks to Sean) deserve not only a Michelin Guide appearance but also a star! And finally, the wonderful bartenders Matteo and Patrizio, true cocktail stars who create a wonderful atmosphere!
There were a few things we didn't like, like the shower only having a rain shower head and not always very hot water. Better lighting by the bathroom mirror would also be nice.
