Hotel Canaletto is near San Lio Church, in the heart of Venice. The elegant building was once home of the famous Canaletto painter. The Rialto Bridge is 656 feet away. Piazza San Marco is within walking distance. The vaporetto (water bus) connects you quickly and easily to Santa Lucia Station and the public car parks of Tronchetto or Piazzale Roma. Hotel Canaletto offers Wi-Fi access in its elegant rooms in Venetian style. Some rooms offer views of a characteristic square or views of the canal. A buffet breakfast is served in 2 elegant dining rooms. You can also enjoy a drink in the outdoor tables. To reach the Canaletto take water bus 2, in the direction of Rialto, and get off at the Rialto stop. The hotel is a 5-minute from the stop.

- Few staff were very curtious
- Location - close to the main tourist landmarks, quieter area Ample breakfast selection included Accommodating with luggage storage Helpful and courteous staff Relatively cheaper price compared to others in the city centre
- The room was exactly what we expected. Francesco was very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was good. We took the Water Bus #1 from the train station to the hotel - worked fine. Great location - right between Rialto Bridge and St Mark's. Short, pretty walk
Cons -
- I had to sleep a night without AC in 90+ temperature. Staff could not locate me to another room or provide fan. Rooms were too small. This hostel is the worst part of my Italy trip.
- Room is feeling old and dated with ornate deco, cramped space
- Note for travelers with heavy luggage, it was a 5-6 min moderately easy push of luggage in narrow walkways from the Rialto Grand Canal stop of the Water Bus to the hotel.
