Hotel Arena Rooms - Berlin Mitte

They didn’t give me the pin to get my key when I was supposed to check in. It was a nightmare.

We only needed a place to rest for one night. Obviously I went for the low price options, we arrived late, and left early. What I'd like to emphasize compared to previous low-budget rooms:- very quiet- keys were in a key-safe, we could arrive and leave anytime we wanted- comfortable beds- cleanliness- location

Everything was fine. This is a low-budget accommodation, you should know what to expect, everything was simple. The night stands does not match, the night-lamp did not work, there is no panorama, does it matter for such a low price? If you answer is no, this is a highly recommended stay!

It was close to the train stations and good restaurants and cafés. The room had everything I needed. Good thing the weather was okay the entire time that I didn’t need heating or AC. Otherwise I don’t think there was one. I tried turning on the radiator once to dry a piece of clothing but it didn’t work. I hardly ever want my room to be cleaned while traveling. And I always have the do not disturb sign on. They did something I haven’t seen before. Every day they would leave a bag hanging from my door knob with fresh towels, more toilet paper, and soaps and shampoo. That was a nice touch!

I arrived early in the morning and asked to use the lobby restroom. It was disgusting. Like no one had maintained it for years and almost unusable. Just don’t go there.

The location was good, 15 minutes from the Central Station

Little to no communication from the staff, the door to the reception was locked even during their supposed open hours, the key to the floor was the same as the key to our room, strong smell of chemicals in the hallway, I don't even think the room was properly cleaned, given I found hair on the bed just as we got in

I liked the size of the room, it was big. It was missing a sofa and a kettle to make tea or coffee. It is a quiet place and we didn't experience problems like other people who have stayed there. Our room was clean and spacious with a decent toilet and shower. It would be better to let people know that they are not a hotel and call themselves Arena Guest House.

There was no breakfast because it is not a hotel. It is a guest house, so it offers rooms and bathrooms, but unfortunately, no breakfast. No kettle or sofa in the room.All the smokers go outside to smoke and put their finished cigarettes on the pavement so it looks very shabby outside because of this. They need to have more ashtrays and encourage smokers to dispose of their cigarette stubs more thoughtfully. We stayed in room 12, and the corridor leading to our room smelled of very strong chemicals, but they had to use strong chemicals to get rid of the bad smells caused by guests, maybe.

The hotel door had gaps in the bottom which meant we could hear everything in the corridor. Light came through the gaps in the door. Unsafe especially with the fighting that occurred here

I was awoken at 4 am by men fighting and screaming in the corridor. This went on for 2 hours. In that time someone slammed against the door. I was terrified. I contacted the hotel and had no response. No one helped or stopped them. As a female traveler especially this is not a safe space to stay. The next day I left because I was scared and it was clearly unsafe. I asked for the money back for the two nights I did not stay, they refused and said I could come back and it was fine. I’m shocked that booking.com list this property. The hotel were rude when they eventually contacted me, 7 hours after I had called them terrified. They didn’t understand the issue, and said there was nothing they could do. Do not stay here.

WiFi was poor. Rooms don't look like the photos. Very basic, rundown. Not the cleanest. Would not recommend.

The hotel is dirt, rooms are not clean and they didn’t change the towels.

Staff were very helpful and friendly! Super accommodating when I needed to book an extra night. Location is great. Basic but efficient

Just choose another option. Money and quality value doesnt exsist. Walls are thin, didnt feel safe there.

beds uncomfortable. no receptionist. advertised receptionist from 7:30 till noon but when called was told no receptionist till 8:00. too late for us to catch our booked train. advertised breakfast included but with no receptionist this was either not provides or non existent since it was not open as advertised. there was no way to determine if breakfast was even available.

The location is good.

The worst €122.58 I've ever spentTotally unworthy A couple of old people and I had to wait about 40 minutes outside for the reception office to be open.. It didn't. We called many times nobody answered ...and when they finally did they just gave us the password for the keybox.. The old lady didn't understand English or Deutsch so if she was alone there, she might had to wait longer. In the room the curtains do not fully cover the windows, so you might be seen by the neighbors...and the light or the sun might wake you up.The bathroom had only one very small plastic box contain 3 in 1 (shampoo, conditioner and bodyshampoo) which won't be enough for a baby. I literally got sick because I had to wait in the cold

Very great location

For the price I paid, this is not what I expected. The profile photos were different from reality.* Noisy because of the thin walls.* The active pump in the bathroom is super noisy, which makes it uncomfortable to take a shower if you arrive at night.

One of the worst experiences I've had with a hotel

Owner was incredibly rude when asking basic questions (I.e wifi not working). Didn't want to help. Refused to provide an Electric fan too when I was 28 degrees (room was like a boiler room)The room was also basic and dirty. Walls are so thin I could hear every conversation happening in all the nearby rooms and hallway.Really one of the worst experiences I've had

Location of the room was good. Quite central and close to tube station. Check in with the key box went smooth.

The room was quite shabby. Clearly a place where got smoked in the past and didn't get refurbished afterwards. After having the window closed for a few hours the old smoke smell clearly came out. The floor was sticky and the small bathroom smell and colour was even worse.
