iStay by NH Berlin City Ost Hotel

Quiet and good location that we wanted.

We did not like the price of breakfast and the fact that there wasn't electric coffee pot in the room, and in the lobby they charged 3 euros per cup. Why? The price was too high for this room and this kind of hospitality

The shoe cleaning/shining machine.

Cleanliness - The carpet was full of dirt and stains. Bathroom was very small, below average with a dirty looking WC. The tap in bath tub didn't work. Staff attitude was aloof and not too keen to help.

U-Bahn about 300 meters away.

At first hard to find.

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The restaurant is very good and the breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and high-quality options. Overall, the property is very nice and comfortable.

Unfortunately, during our stay there were renovation works with very loud drilling and hammering noises. Neither Booking nor the hotel informed us about these repairs in advance, not even at check-in. This was especially disappointing because we clearly mentioned from the beginning that my husband would be teleworking and had important online meetings during the following days. At reception we were actually told that the rooms were very quiet, which was not the case.It was a real pity, as we liked the hotel very much and were planning to return at the end of our vacation, but at checkout we were informed that the construction works will continue until March.

Kettle and fridge in the room. The free water bottle was a nice touch.

The bed was hard as a rock, and gave me a backache and a shoulderache after just one night, which is such a shame, as hotels are usually booked to get a good rest and be fresh for all your plans in the city.The pillowcase had a few hairs on it and was generally dirty as if dragged along the floor before being placed on the bed.The double bed was placed with one side against the wall, which would have made it very uncomfortable for 2 people.No sockets near the bed.The bathroom with such an outdated thing as a shower curtain, which is highly unhygienic and just a disgusting concept.

Soulless, white, boring room. Bed ok but not great. Can hear everything in the hallway outside the door.

Great hotel, really clean, felt like a good quality hotel. Has a restaurant attached. Easy walk from public transport.

Shower head was broken.

Not in green zone for cars, with ground parking place (be careful, car should be short, because Revolver system is used), close to uban, nice and quiet place, good furniture and breakfasts.

Not good air conditioning.

Our room was large, modern, and comfortable, with a good shower, a nice firm bed, and probably the best pillows we've had in two months of traveling around Germany. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the location was an easy walk to good restaurants, bakeries, shops, and the U-bahn, S-bahn, and trams. With the window closed, the room was very quiet, and we slept wonderfully. We appreciated the in-room kettle and the noon checkout time!

It would be nice if the hotel had a fitness room for exercising.

Very friendly staff. Exceptionally clean and spacious rooms with a mini fridge and rain shower. We arrived by car and had the opportunity to park our car in the hotel garage. The breakfast was delicious, and the variety was good. There is nothing to complain about. I am looking forward to book this hotel again next year.

Nice clean hotel

In the one bed room that we requested the sheets were dirty a bit and did not fit perfectly the size of the duvet.

The way room is designed is not ideal, there is little passage in between table and bed. It is too little. And also there was just 1 chair available in the room. Ideally it would be 2

Clean and very comfortable rooms. Located close to restaurants, super markets and train connections. Nice staff at the reception. Nearby parks for kids to play.

The showers in the washroom are way too complicated and difficult to understand and regulate hot / cold water. Better to simply.
