Located next to the Augsburger Straße Underground Station in central Berlin, Hotel Bernstein offers simple rooms and free Wi-Fi. The famous Kurfürstendamm shopping street is 1640 feet away. Each room has a private bathroom with toiletries, and cable TV. The KaDeWe department store and the historic Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church can be reached in less than 10 minutes on foot. - Location! Breakfast too! This was a wonderful stay in older rooms with a lot of character. The location was superb, right on a subway stop that's only one changeover from the main sights to see. Staffed at midnight when we arrived as well.
Cons -
- It's difficult to find, a small door between two nice restaraunts. You must press the call button to have the door opened (like most Germany), then travel upstairs to the reception desk.
