    Pros +

    • Difficult to say. Maybe the parking even though they made me open the gate myself when I was leaving.
    • The location.
    • Subject: Feedback on My Stay at Hotel Atrium CharlottenburgI booked two rooms at Hotel Atrium Charlottenburg from December 25th to December 28th. On the night of December 27th, around 1:30 AM, someone unexpectedly opened my room door. I was shocked and immediately asked the person why they entered and how they obtained my room key. The individual replied that the hotel front desk had given them the key.I then went down to the front desk with this person to clarify the situation. Unfortunately, the staff member at the front desk was rude and unprofessional during this interaction.I have traveled to many countries and booked hotels through Booking.com, but I have never experienced such an incident before. This was extremely concerning and disappointing.

    Cons -

    • Horriböe rooms. Old, smelled like cigarrettes, holes on the floor, noisy, old linens, thin pillows.
    • The hotel is super super super DIRTY. I found poop in the toilet seat !!! and I also found hair under the pillows!! Very dirty and will never go there again.

Good & convenient location for the purpose of my trip, close to the train station. easy check in, check out (No complication, which happens often those days with a request for advance check in via online registration etc!) Great friendly flexible staff, who instantly gave me extra chair upon query, room was spacious (coming from London, Paris etc, where rooms are often relatively compact), bright and well-lit, super very warm in the middle of freezing winter (I liked it! but, sometimes, the heater was so powerful, I opened the window for fresh air, which was also very nice!) Over all cozy, secure, equipped with a bath tub.

Everything was fine for me! Nothing to complain... At one point in the morning, someone was talking very loud in the courtyard, near screaming, but, the window was quite effective in reducing the loud noise from outside in general.

The room was good, clean, and so on—no complimentary breakfast. The location is good and central. Less than 5 minutes walk from the train station at Charlottenburg, and getting a bus from the hotel is very easy, less than 2 minutes walk.

    No complimentary breakfast

I liked that it was located central.

The staff wasn't friendly, there was no proper customer care. For example my room card wasn't working the next day and I was told abruptly well you shouldn't put it next to your phone. I didn't do that anyway as it was in my purse. However, this should be told beforehand. A day after the lift was not working which I didn't know, so I was waiting. Only to hear from a staff member you will wait a long time, the lift is not working. The sign was added afterwards. My bed was never made, nor it was hoovered in those 4 days I stayed there. The room is not particularly clean. There is a kettle and a cup, but no spoon, no coffee, no tea. That's it.There is always strange people outside the hotel, so be careful when walking alone or with kids.

Price, location near rail station, clean room

No heating in the room. Asked at desk and they told me heating would go on but it didn't. They gave me some extra bedding. The cooridor was warm so I left the door open to warm the room.

The price I got was low by Berlin standards, so expectations have to be adjusted accordingly. The pillows were unusually comfortable, which is good if you suffer from neck problems and needs something that you can shape to fit your needs. There were no bed bugs, which is a plus these days. If you see this place as a 2-star hotel, then it is absolutely fine, even quite satisfactory. The third star seems misplaced to me. The following night I stayed at a 3-star in Poland, and it was like being on a different (much better) planet.

The bed (unlike the pillow) was a disaster. Individual springs seemed to be sticking out, so pretty bumpy, so to say. Shower went from scorching hot to ice cold and vice versa with no warning. Especially (it seems to me) when you compete with other guests, i.e., in the morning hours. A bit better at 1 AM, but still the same problem. Room not filthy, but not particularly clean either. But again, if you ignore the property's third star, which is unrealistic, you will probably be satisfied enough with the other two.

2 min walk from metro/train station

Very small shabby room, noise from outside, some strange people hanging around. They didn't change bed sheets during my 5-nights stay. Definitely not worth the money they charged.

    5MishaalPosted on: 10-19-2025

Room had bugs and a spider on bed. The staff had to be particularly asked for a tborough cleaning. Also, it's super noisy in the night because of pubs right next to it. Drunk people stand in crowds right outside the hotel. Wasn't a comfortable stay.

The room was good for the value. The breakfast was good. The location was very nice to travel.

    The location

No seating, bed bugs, austere reception.People outside making lots of noise all night!

"Simple, standard hotel near the station in Charlottenburg. It was clean, and the price-to-service ratio was good/fair."

I also didn't like that there were strange people outside drinking and shouting, like company workers.

    Not a very good experience!...

It’s very old and tired. Not clean. I stayed the first night and it was poor and didn’t smell great either. Disappointing as the photos looked quite good. I tried to cancel the second night and switch hotels but the person on reception said no refunds once paid. I had to pay 20 euro more for an upgrade. It was slightly better and the second room didn’t smell damp like the first, but still very poor. I looked around and there were hotels much better for slightly more! I suggest paying the extra!

There's a very friendly and helpful staff at the hotel. Very nice breakfast with variety of food. The location was also very convenient - almost opposite the S-bahn station or within a short distance from U-bahn. There are also lots of restaurants and bars in the area.

I had a street-facing room and it was a nightmare. The hotel is at the very busy street so even at night there are lot's of cars going. In addition there are a few bars downstairs plus a shop with alcohol so you have a party going outside with people shouting even at 4 am (and it wasn't even a weekend). There's no air conditioning in rooms so you have to open the windows and can't sleep because of all that noise outside or you close the windows and can't sleep because it's too hot. It was the first time in my life I had to use earplugs and I could sleep in shabby hostels in India, Pakistan and many other loud countries. You can ask a room facing the yard but I can't guarantee the noise will be much lower but certainly you'll have a view to an ugly yard with a row of vans.Another thing is that the room looked far different from what was on the pictures - very small room with no carpeting. For 10-15 Euro more you can find something much better, with air conditioning and also close to the center.

Location was good as it is close to the station and major stores

Very noisy at night, due to the bar close to the hotelBeds weren't great, pillows were terrible and very oldKettle in room, but no coffee is provided which for that price should be the least they could do

Good value for money, excellent breakfast, staff were friendly.

    Mould in bathroom.

    Good

Party all night. Very loud on the street. Karaoke starts at 6 AM. Incredible. If you prefer to sleep like normal people don't book this hotel.

    7JosephPosted on: 8-4-2025

Parking was ok. Beds were comfortable. TV worked nicely. It was ok.

Groups of people outside our window on the streets. Bars along the entrance to the street, so not cool for families. Doors don't double lock from the inside. Basic hotel in any case so it was fine for the money on this occasion. Would I go back? Dunno. If it was half price and I needed somewhere to stay for the night and happened to be in the area. Does a decent job.
