Historic feel

a bit dark, and one day very friendly service and the next day not... Some rooms are quite spacious and large, others quite small. In an old hotel, this comes with the territory.

It didn't have converters for guests to use; concierge didn't speak a lot of English.

Good central location. Close to central train station and attractions.

No internet connection in my room.

Cleaning lady could give more paper tissues, and more coffee - as I stayed for 2 nights and it was not refilled automatically.

The location was great. We appreciated the size of the room and bathroom, and that there were blackout curtains. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm.

The hotel is in need of a renovation. The room felt very dated and it was clear it has not been well maintained. Chipped paint, scratched faucet, stains on the carpet, etc. The Internet connection was very poor. The main downside for us was the noise. Despite our room being on a higher floor and facing the idyllic inner courtyard, the noise from other rooms was very loud. We could clearly hear conversations (and arguments) from the rooms next to us, also quite late in the night, which made the stay not too relaxing. Overall, if the state of disrepair and noise problems are addressed, we wod consider staying here again.

Excellent location, delicious and rich breakfast, great restaurant with nice and very affordable lunch menu offer, cozy, quiet and comfortable room. Very helpful staff. I also appreciated the small chapel.

The wifi did not work in the room, only in the common areas.

Great location for main attractions and railway station, and staff were excellent in every department.

It's a shame they don't have decent wi-fi, which only really works near reception and is pretty much non-existent in the rooms. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would be good - expected these days.

Property was in a fantastic location - very near to Friedrichstraße train station and a short walk from the city centre, the Reichstag and Brandenburg gate. The hotel staff were helpful and the rooms were great for a couple.

A kettle would have been useful. Tea and coffee was available during the morning free of charge but it would have been a bonus had it been on offer for longer after a day out sight seeing

The location

The internet connectivity was lousy. On the day we arrived, there were two periods without any Wi-Fi—one lasting five hours and another for six. Even at the best of times, the reception was only low to medium. After three days of our six-day stay, they offered to move us to an upgraded room where the Wi-Fi was better, but it was still prone to short interruptions (noticeable during streaming) and one longer outage. This is totally unacceptable in the 2020s and overshadowed any of the hotel's other pros.

The hotel is very well located, walking distance from all the attractions, and just 15 mins walk from the central station. Moreover, the room was is excellent condition and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Very central hotel close to main attractions , yet only a 15 min walk from the main train station. Good breakfast , and staff were very helpful. Keeping our luggages after check out was very convenient .Highly recommended .

The location is amazing. Very close to Friedrichstadt station, which is a 2 min ride to the Berlin Central Station. And the staff were pleasant and really helpful with every request.
