Hotel Eckstein

Budget friendly. Just the basics, no luxury; however, the essentials are well covered. The place looks more like a students lodgings, but everything is exceptionally clean, the room had good heating, and the bed was comfortable. Very good location as well. The staff speaks only German, but is very friendly.

My only complaint is that breakfast is only served from 8 to 10. A little late to start a working day.

Good location near the center of the area with a metro station, lots of shops and restaurants. Special thanks to the very attentive and caring staff, speaking many languages, including German, English and Russian. А good breakfast. The room is small but quite comfortable.

The elevator, which stops between floors, is not very convenient.

Entrance was not clean. Room was OK. Bathroom was clean. No facilities at all in the room. Price was high for the provided service. I ordered a big size bed. In the reception, I got a single bed room. However, I asked for the big size bed room as requested. Then, I got the requested room

The location is good and the area is very quiet. The hotel is exactly as you'd expect. Very simple, nothing fancy but ok for a short stay.

Mattress is old and the towels are old and very small. No soap in the bathroom. Not all staff speak English.

Rooms were so small wich was really importantfor peaple who has colostrophobia , and it wasn't standard.It was so noisy, and stuff was so old, rooms and also hallway smells so bad. And it wasn't safe at all.

The staff is friendly, although not all speak English. The breakfast is simple, but is diversified and with fresh products.The location is very quiet, with a bus stop in front of.it, supermarkets and restaurants within a 10 minutes walk.The room had a perfectly working fridge, which was very handy.The internet was fast and steady.

The hotel looks a bit old, and the furniture needs and update. The pillows and matress were not confortable. It has no AC, so in the hotter daysay be difficult to sleep.

It's a very basic budget hotel and surprisingly quiet for being on a very busy street

It's all hard surfaces so very echoey in the hallways and rooms

Room was clean and no noise from the road outside.

Rude and unprofessional staff. Really uncomfortable beds and very noise rooms. No possibilities of reserving a parking place like informed.

Breakfast was good, fast service and friendly

It should have been mentioned that the lift stopped between floors , many stairs and steps had to be managed just to get to the lift, there was very little room in the bathroom, only one chair for 2 people, no light at the desk.Also, no place to meet with people other than in the small bedroom, such as a lobby

The staff were helpful, polite, and kind

The rooms are not well equipped, there is an extremely small cooling fan, the room was very hot.

Small rooms, older mattress didn't provide the best comfort, but acceptable.

The room was ready even though I arrived earlier than I planned. The hotel is located close to 2 subway stations of U9 and U3 lines where you can get to the city center. It is also located very close to Boulevard Berlin mall and S Bahn station (10 min walk). It is also situated close to many facilities of Freie Universitaet Berlin (in case you have business there, like me :-)).

Nice location, nearby many facilities and public transport. Nice and helpful staff. I recommend it for anyone.

Better if reception closes at 10 pm.

Location

We could not get out the front door to get our Uber at 6am on the day we were leaving. The back door to the parking lot was unlocked but no one explained this. The young woman fixing breakfast showed me, but it would help if the hotel put on the Bookings app some instructions "if you are leaving before breakfast" or something like that.

We really enjoyed our stay.The hotel is not new or anyhow stylish but was simple and tidy. As we needed the room for sleep and refreshment only it was more than perfect to stay. I do work at the hotel myself, so naturally i was able to see any flaw ;) but its was all compensated by extremely kind and pleasant staff and atmosphere.

The hotel is fine, the breakfast is ok, and the staff was friendly.

Single rooms are very small.There was only one single use package of shampoo, but possible to request more. Arriving after the reception is closed left me without wifi connection the first night. The instructions to connect were not in the room.

Friendly stuff

Room was clear but old and poor, beds shabby, minimal facilities.Additionally it ended up in attic. It would be stuffy there in hot weather and not "Soundproofing".We booked room for two, but there were 3 beds. Two made, one not. It looks we've got "rest of the rests".Breakfast was quite simple.

I didn't like anything. I truly wished I could find just one thing to mention here. But sadly enough, there is nothing positives to say

Almost everything. Starting from enterance, finding the reception to the room, mattresses, room and all. Not to recommend at all especially if you think about the price and what you become for your money
