    Pros +

    • The room was nice although small. The room and hotel were clean and well taken care of. The neighborhood was nice and generally quiet, with several small restaurants nearby. There was a tram stop right outside of the hotel.
    • spacious room big windows , comfortable large double bed. Good breakfast with alot of choice . fantastic eggs and good coffees
    • It is a family run hotel and quite typically German. We had a wonderful stay

    Cons -

    • The woman usually at the front desk most of the time was somewhat gruff at times.
    • there was nothing I didnt like
    • With windows open tram noise will keep you awake…….so close the windows. It’s not an issue.

great genuine Berlin atmosphere, lovely breakfast, cool location near a tram stop, helpful staff, warm and cosy rooms, and a pub just downstairs! :)

Excellent range of restaurants & cafes & beer gardens nearby. In easy walking distance of the city centre & good public transport outside the hotel entrance.

Central location in Berlin, close to Alexanderplatz and other sights in Mitte. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable room and nice breakfast. For a little extra fee we could park the car in the back yard.

    Nothing - all good.

    Good location. Handy for tram

    Tram noise all night

    5LouisPosted on: 7-22-2025

Basic, but large and clean rooms.

My first night i had a room on the street side of the hotel, on the first floor. The tram noise was very disturbing and i only slept during the time the tram was not circulating, from 1-4am. I changed room for the second night to the other side of the hotel, where everything was fine.

    great location with clean room.

no air conditioning, which I remember reading was available.

Fantastic location with M1 and 12 trams outside the door. Really charming family run hotel. Wonderful staff. Neighborhood gives you a sense of the real Berlin.

    8AndersonPosted on: 5-10-2025

The location is gorgeous, the rooms have views of the chestnut trees and there are lots of trendy cafes and shops in the area. Good easy access to the rest of the city on foot or by tram.

You do hear the tram from the bedroom but it’s a low sound. The hotel is outdated, from the 90s and therefore feels old fashioned and not in a good way. The breakfast was also rather bland and old fashioned but there was lots of nice German breads.

Cute small hotel located in great neighbourhood with good eating and drinking options nearby. The room I was assigned was very quiet overlooking a back courtyard with high ceilings and a lot of light. Very clean and pleasant staff.

Great location, in a nice street with lots of cafes and shops. It's near the tram stop, making easy to travel to tourist spots. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. Everything was clean and they have daily room service (making the beds, cleaning bathroom, etc). There was a kettle, hair dryer and a mini-fridge. We didn't order the breakfast so I will not rate that. The staff was friendly and helpful.Recommended.

The hotel is a bit old fashioned but if you don't mind the aesthetics it's pretty fine. Note: the bathroom in our room had steps. It was fine for us but it wasn't accessible by wheelchair. Maybe other rooms have better access so be sure to check beforehand if you need it.

Old style, clean and peaceful hotel in the Prenzlauer Berg area. Bicycle rental option and ovetall good location near The Tram 12, M1 and U-bahn 2, 8 lines.

    A bit "cost effective" breakfast.

    8RagnarPosted on: 8-25-2024

Very well situated. Nice rooms but a bit old furniture. Very nice staff and nice restaurant.

I was now on the second floor facing the street and it was a bit to noisy especially friday night. I would next time pick a room facing the courtyard.
