The room was fine; had a funky smell. One window was walled in by the adjacent building and that was just weird. But, it was quiet, and the beds were relatively comfortable, and for the extra bed we needed for our son, we had enough space for everyone. VERY basic, very outdated furniture and deco, but for our purposes (which was only to sleep), it was fine. The lobby is cute, a bit small, but it was one place we could relax. There's a bar, too. We didn't have breakfast, but the dining room seemed nice.

The neighborhood is dicey, but that is the area. Regardless, we left our car outside on the street (no parking needs to be paid), and everything was fine.

Very basic rooms with shower doors not closing correctly and blinds not covering the roof windows (not fully covered so letting light in)

Good location near U bahn station, just 15 minutes by subway to Alexanderplatz.

We had some issues with water. The water temperature was very unstable, it was cold and suddenly boiling hot and I almost burned my baby twice.Also the wifi was very weak.

Disappointing

There was so annoying smell of everything. It was clean but smell was really annoying. Check in on 15:30 is the worst experience that I ever had and you can’t even do the early check in because there isn’t anyone there. Reception isn’t 24/7. Really disappointed!

It had is Charme. And was in great location.

The room and equipment is quite old. You get 2-3 keys for your stay

A very Basic hotel which is reflected in the cost I was disappointed that there was no breakfast. The room I had was large, the bed comfortable, and it was very clean I will use this hotel again If I have to stay in that area overnight. The big bonus for me was the main railway station and SBhan directly opposite the hotel.

my expectations were low after reading the reviews here but it managed to surprised me. it’s an old hotel and staff only speaks German, but it’s a good value for the price. I’d have to stay at a much worse hostel for the same price.

SUMMARY:On the day of my arrival I was waiting 1.5h for a receptionist to get my key (reception was closed).I could leave the premises only with a help of hotel's neighbours - again key problems.________It was impossible to leave the premises. 1. Reception was closed (nobody was there and the front door was closed too).2. The rear gate was closed as well (key - both sides)As I was told to leave the key in my room I was trapped in a back yard between gate and the (closed) reception.It was impossible to leave and impossible to go back to the hotel. ADVICE: 1. Allow people to get their keys from caches if the reception personel is not available.2. Install door keys/access control which allow people to leave the hotel. Please.

room is too small, tiny. No toiletries at all, no fridge, no clocks, TV was only German language, no single TV channel in English, I've got a 0,5 kilo room key and I had to carry it always with me, because reception did not work 50% time. No hot water, no place to buy tee .....no elementary service

Location is great - near Lichtenberg station. Beds were comfortable. Room was quiet and clean. Bathroom is big compared to other hotels.

Staff is friendly, but reception is open just few hours per day. They give you just one set of keys (gate, front door, room) for three people. If you come back to the hotel separately outside reception working hours, one person has to call the other to go down from (for example) 4th floor and open the gate. That's very uncomfortable!There is not even small fridge in the room and I thought these days it's standard in the hotels at this level/price.

as I arrived in the evening the hotel was closed, nobody answerd my calls, so I had no chance to enter and have a room for which I have paid. I do not recomend
