Solitaire Hotel

Location was perfect. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was delicious and well stocked throughout stay.

Despite being advertised as operational from 6-11pm, the sauna was not on for several nights when I went to use it. Pillows were very flat. Only was provided with body wash/shampoo, would have been a nice touch to also have lotion at least.

The apartment was spacious well furnished.

They don’t do the room at all during the stay which ease a bad surprise! We have to beg for new towels. Not all the staff were collaborative!

Kindness of the staff, quiet environment, clean rooms, nice breakfast.

Scrambled eggs could have as well been served for breakfast - but this is only a very small something I missed - all the rest was very good.

After having trouble with visas I was delayed by a day and after contacting the hotel to explain I would be delayed by a day they still charged for for the night.

It was clean and practical. People were very helpful and friendly.

It was far from my event. I had to take a taxi.

Staff were exceptional and went out of their way to provide guest service - booking taxis, making restaurant recommendations, tour suggestions. During my stay, it was brutally hot, and they even bought fans for rooms. Breakfasts offered plentiful selection - open early. Christian is the best employee ever!

The location is far from the airport (the nearer airport closed down a few years ago). Hotel is primarily used by business guests, rather than tourists, but I would stay at Solitaire again anyway. Quiet area. Historic.

Excellent breakfast choice, quirky wooden furniture, very large room, bonus of a balcony, easy night-time check-in on request. Very clean bathroom with good shower pressure. Fridge and water provided. Staff very attentive.

Could be good to have insect mesh on the windows so that they can be left open without allowing insects in.

Very nice interior balcony with lots of plants, in my case the room was also very spacious. The receptionist spoke my language (polish) and was very polite. The paid parking behind hotel is also available if you’re not comfortable parking on the street. The neighborhood is quite nice and wonderful to go for a walk.

You can access the city centre with just one transfer but still it might take ~30-45 minutes for the whole trip. The coffee during breakfast was plainly bad, but there were some vegetarian options same as in any other hotel buffets. When it comes to the interior design, it is as in pictures - you either like it or you don’t. The parking places on the paid parking are quite narrow.

Good breakfast. Quiet location. Very nice atrium with lots of plants. Friendly staff. Loved having a balcony. Green belt behind.

Hotel a bit out of the City Center, but public Bus connection to suburban trains direct at hotel which was good.

It's a hotel and lodging house, and as such was very quiet but also a bit strange. The doors were locked at 9pm , but I wasn't told how to access the place if I'd lost or misplaced my card. The breakfast was adequate, but it looked like only a small percentage of the rooms operated as a hotel and as such they were catering for a small number of people. If you are arriving by car it's fine . If by train it's a 20 walk along the side of the park that takes up most of the area , some of which are unpaved. During the day it's fine , at night,get a cab.

There was no one at reception when I arrived. I had to call an emergency number - and then wait 15 minutes for someone to come. I had informed the hotel of my late arrival, so I was not impressed.

Very clean, extremely friendly staff, room bigger than expected, comfortable beds, good location (close to tram and bus stops but silent street)

Everything was fine!

Large room, very warm. Two single beds, but we did not mind. Shower powerful and hot. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast typical German type breakfast with a good selection of fresh bread, cheese and meat.Hotel easy access to public transport, Tram and Bus

The easy parking, the location near friends in Pankow, and the interior ambience were all benefits. Nice breakfast and offered gluten-free options, but I was never clear if the bread I had was truly separated from the other.

It was a little unclear to me when booking that my husband and I would be located in separate rooms so far from each other. This seems to be a very good single option with some rooms for doubles. I better understand now how the room sizes and choices work. One street view room near the entrance door was generally quiet, but less desirable when people came in late at night and were very loud in the hallway with their talking and laughter. The other room was nicer with a quieter, location and quieter view.
