Safestay Berlin Kurfurstendamm

I liked spacious room with high ceiling, it gave us good impression and we felt good. Also, the room was super warm/hot while outside was freezing.

Cleanliness was very poor. The floor, bathroom door pretty dirty.

the first room we were given smelled strongly of smoke. We spoke to the receptionist who immediately gave us a different room with no difficulties. Thank you (though I wonder the housekeeping staff didnt report the smell when they cleaned)

Really great location right next to the u-bahn, lots of restaurants, and shopping. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They offered great tips for parking. Also appreciated the convenient laundry service

We liked the spacious room and the bath, as we were four and the staff allowed us to change the room, as we were not the first time in StaySafe.

Some beds could be better, to allow us to rest well after the journeys which are ofter long.

Toilet seat is not comfortable. The wash basin is so close to toilet that it is inconvenient.

Very good location near public transportation, restaurants, supermarkets and shopping mall. Friendly staff. The room had a good size and the beds were quite comfy.

The place was not very clean. It was quite loud the whole night (we stayed there saturday night) and because the doors are old, you can hear everything from the corridor.

Location, staff, room size, clean, safe and enough for a few days stay

The room was very spacious and well heated, everything was clean, the towels were changed every day and the staff was nice and accommodating. Overall it was a nice place to stay for a few nights, and the location was excellent.

The hotel looked a bit shabby at first sight, especially the reception and the corridors, with a very worn out carpet. The furniture was old. There were some electric works in the hotel, so there were wires and cables hanging from the corridor ceiling.

The location is top-notch, especially if you're in the neighborhood for Prinzknecht and all the shops in the district. The building is gorgeous, as are the rooms. Parts of the hallway ceiling sections are under construction, but this had no bearing on comfort of usability of anything. The shower water pressure blew me away, as did the friendliness of the front desk staff.

Parking in Berlin is not cheap. Even street parking is approximately 2 to 3 Euros per hour, and most days of the week, you pay for between 8 and 10 hours of parking. This is true for almost all neighborhoods around the main city districts. The hotel has a garage, but it was unfortunately full, and the closest indoor garage is 30 Euros/day.

Location appeared good, however due to safety concerns and hygiene concerns we left immediately. Nothing else good to report.

AFTER booking accommodation which was non-refundable, we received a message that they were doing renovations, which they advised would have minimal impact. We arrived late in the evening on our first night. Our corridor to our room had exposed ceiling wires, the smoke alarms (multiple) were taped to the ceiling with paper masking tape. There was loose carpet on top of the original carpet - creating a trip hazard. The sprinkler for the fire system was ABOVE other loose electrical wiring in the ceiling. The fire alert button was covered over so it couldn't be activated. There was even an electrical warning sign just sitting on the floor of the corridor. We then entered our room which had dust and dirt all the way through.At this stage we were so tired, but our massive concern for our safety made us leave immediately and source alternative accommodation. (We were so concerned we didn't even mind forfeiting over 500 euros for a three night stay.) If there is a fire at this facility, it is a death trap. We returned our keys the next day, when the receptionist offered us another room. This would not negate the safety issues and we declined this offer. No refund for the unused time was offered, and it was also not the first time the poor receptionist had heard clients concerns regarding the state of the accommodation.I attempted to contact safestay to raise my concerns through email, with absolutely no acknowledgement or reply. I then had to contact booking.com with my concerns, who also advised they had no reply from safestay. On seeing the state of the facility through photos, booking.com refunded me their proportion of the payment, but close to 3 weeks later and still waiting to hear back from safestay.In my opinion, if you value your safety and comfort, book somewhere else. We ended up with much cleaner and safer accommodation in Berlin for less of the price.The photos online look nothing like the accommodation facilities.

The room is small but just nice for short stay and a good location for those who is having business with government or embassy just within walking distance Even though the building is old but it very clean and smell good no stale smell

Location is very good, very close to Wittenberg Platz and u-bahn. The staff is very friendly.

The hotel is organised, as often in Berlin, in the old house which is always a bit unconformable. The breakfast space is small and crammed together with the reception. The hotel goes through some minor remodeling no clear information about it on booking obviously. You will get message after book it. Place is overpriced really good modern hotels nearby have similar prices.

The shower had great pressure and the location for us was perfect. The staff were friendly and that's all the positive things I can say about the hotel.

When we arrived we were given keys to room 34. Walking down the corridor was something else. Cables hanging from the ceiling, fire alarm appeared sellotaped to thw ceiling. Carpets toen and had a floor runner taped over it. horrific!When we walked in the room,the cleaning from the previous guest had not been done. Wet towels lying about, bed slept in and not made etc. We were then given keys to room 40. We had hoped the bed would be a complete double bed but it was 2 singles pushed together and during the night we couldn't roll over as the beds kept parting. The following day we asked if we could have a room with a complete bed but that wasn't possible. House keeping took the towels one day and never left clean ones. The room was cold and the heating wasnt working. Overall I wouldn't even recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Avoid at all costs if you can.

Gentleman covering reception Sunday morning was very friendly and courteous. Free water and coffee is a nice touch. Soft but comfy mattress. Amazing location!

The toilet had a small bit of faeces in it when I first arrived but everything else was completely clean, in fairness I didn’t mention anything to the team at the time as I was tired and the rest of the room was clean and in order.
