Great view at restaurant but food way too spicy and both daughter and I have visited/lived in Israel!

Very dark rooms. Very badly lit. No tv in the room. Pitiful room decoration. Toilet smelled like a public toilet.

Design in jungle room, the view, hammock, complimentary mini bar.

That there was no coffee machine. And some more light would be good.

I loved the room! It is minimalistic, but so practical. It has everything that was necessary for comfort and now waste. The design was really funky and cool. I loved the concrete ceiling and special brass panels behind the bed. Everything was thought of, and everything you might need was in the room. It was comfortable, but with a cool and minimalistic modern design. Loved it! The location is not the one I would choose to stay in, whilst in Berlin, but I chose to stay here because of the hotel. However, it was quiet and well isolated so no noise while sleeping despite being in a busy area. It also was served very well by public transport. Would love to stay in this hotel, in cooler areas though like Prenzlauer Berg or Friedrichshain.

Personally, I didn't think the staff were very friendly. I thought the girl on reception when we arrived was bossy and not very warm - maybe it's a cultural thing but it would have been nice if they were warmer and friendlier to visitors. It's not a big deal, it just sets a tone which is not the most welcoming. Other than that though, I loved the hotel.

The location is just excellent. Very stylish hotel with stylish common areas. The room was quite large with a stylish interior.

The room was very dark and dusty. The price of the room did not match the quality and comfort. The keys did not work properly, and there was unclear situation with parking

Views, location and unique vibe

I liked the room, the location and breakfast.

I didn't like the fact that when I turn on the heating system, fish smell from kitchen came directly to my room. I had to stop the heating system, to open the windows for more than 10 min, and than I slept without heating system...and it was very cold and uncomfortable!

The location of the hotel was wonderful, the hotel itself is stunningly and coolly decorated, the room is very spacious and clean. The staff was extremely approachable and kind, the whole atmosphere was very relaxedVery very very close to all types of public transportationThe bar upstairs is cool

The room is a little too dark for my taste, I would recommend more lighting.

Room and hotel look aesthetically pleasing. Bed was comfortable shower was great. Sauna was good.

Room 901 & 902 should be closed as rooms. They are directly under the monkey bar. The base kept me awake both nights of my stay. Worst hotel sleep I have ever had.

Second time there and again an amazing visit. Friendly, great room, amazing view, super breakfast. Will definitely be coming back!

Only minor thing is that I was unaware of cleaning practises. I had to go and ask separately for my room to be cleaned.

The room was great! we had the Grand room with a nice seating area at the end of it . we stayed on the fifth floor so it was quite.The view from the Breakfast restaurant was amazing and the veriaty of choices were out of this world. The Bar at the end of the day had such a great atmosphere.The location is wonderful . Near all the transportation options and near a great shopping area and lots of places to eat and drink. It was safe and happy. The park next to the hotel makes you breath fresh air although you are at the centre of berlin.All in all we liked it better than to stay at the Alexanderplatz area.

The room, sauna and breakfast were amazing!

Unfortunately, they gave us the room on 8th floor right under the sauna so we heard extremely loud music until 1am on Thursday and people in the sauna until 11pm. The hotel wasn't full at all. I think staff should know that 6th ,7th floors should be the first they should allocate people in. Also, I am very surprised that extremely loud bar is facing the zoo - animals are suffering for sure.

I like how original the place is and the location is great very central. If you get a room towards the zoo it is charming to see the animals. The room decor itself is also charming and I liked that they offer books to read and bikes to rent. If you want to do basic shopping you are minutes away from big brands and the famous KaDeWe shopping house. I loved the breakfast buffet, really great options, you can go healthy if you want.

A bit tired feeling of the facilities, lack of service and in parts rude staff: the love was lacking for me. The hotel proposes cleaning only every third day, claiming they offer the proceeds to charity. Their room card system is old (their words!) and I had to several times go down to have the card reprogrammed. But the real poor bid was the service which was absent in the breakfast place in the Neni and at the reception. The staff was in parts even rude. An example was telling me to sit down and that someone would come to serve coffee. No one ever did. When I arrived the first day there was another guest and she was v upset, complaining about the rudeness and lack of service and I realise now that what I experienced was not a one-off experience.

The Monkey Bar had some dodgy characters in it!
