I'm of the opinion that pushing two single beds together does NOT equal a double / queen bed. You can't properly sleep in the middle because there's a gap. If you're going to advertise double / queen / king beds than you MUST use proper ones and not cheat the system by saying it's a double when it's really two singles pushed together.Also, the comforter should be large enough to COVER THE ENTIRE BED. This nonsense in Central / Eastern Europe of pushing beds together and using tiny comforters for each person in the bed IS STUPID. You're the only people in the world who do this. Please join the rest of us and use proper size beds and comforters.

Staff were brilliant. Accommodation very clean and tidy. Good location. Local pub very close. Restaurant food was good quality (pizzas are HUGE). Our first time in Berlin and we really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at Hotel Nikolai Residence for two nights. The hotel is perfectly located — close to the metro and right on the museum island, which makes exploring Berlin very convenient. We received very clear and detailed check-in instructions and had no difficulty accessing our room. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the linens and towels were fresh. There is also a kettle and a small refrigerator in the room, which is convenient for keeping yogurt or small items for a light breakfast. The team always responded quickly to any questions we had.However, booking this hotel introduced a few surprises for me. The first was that the payment was processed by Arbio rather than directly by Booking.com, even though I entered my card details on the Booking platform. At first this made me slightly concerned, but I later learned that Arbio is a property management company operating hotels in Berlin. It might be helpful if this information were made clearer on Booking.com.The second surprise was receiving a notice one day before arrival about a €250 security deposit authorization. As someone who travels frequently, I had not encountered this before. After carefully rereading the booking conditions, I realized that the deposit was indeed mentioned in the “Important Information” section — it was simply my oversight for not noticing it earlier.Since this system was new to me and I wasn’t sure what to expect, we were extra cautious during our stay and even avoided using some of the amenities provided in the room. The fact that the deposit would only be released 7 days after check-in was also unexpected for me. Fortunately, everything was resolved smoothly, and the deposit was released exactly as stated.My advice to future guests: read the booking conditions carefully to avoid unnecessary stress and simply enjoy your stay.

Great location near Alexanderplatz, but quiet. Very clean. Friendly staff. Late check in worked easily. Appreciated the check out time of noon.

Superb location with friendly staff. Our spacious room had a great view of the TV tower. Good Italian restaurant on the ground floor. Luggage storage facility.

Guest info in our room hadn’t been updated to say that breakfast wasn’t available. Although it didn’t matter to us, reception was open only limited hours during the day.

My two children, husband and I stayed 4nights and couldn’t have wished for a cleaner, friendlier or well placed hotel. Super reasonable price, so quiet at night with comfortable beds. Thank you Hotel Nikolai!

The room was very spacious, clean and in an amazing location! It had every amenity you need and the hotel offered everything to accommodate such as travel plugs, different pillows, blankets etc!! House keeping was amazing considering we were only there for the weekend and to top it all off they accommodated to me and my friends amazingly considering we booked a few hours before coming in due to our other hotel being cancelled when we landed in Berlin.

paying for the room and getting an invoice is a pain. My payment through booking did not go through (used 2 credit cards which were both fine), then they sent me a link which I initially considered a phishing attempt. Then I asked for an invoice and was told in Booking chat that they would send it to me soon. Instead I got a link to a web form where I needed to put in a complex booking number, and the system told me it would take 7 working days for the invoice to be issued. Really not good enough

The hotel was in a very central location and extremely clean. The room was very spacious. We liked all the amenities. If I come back to Berlin, I would stay here again.

There wasn't a person who you could talk directly except by phone, the biggest problem was the moment i was trying to pay for the night. After a few calls, i was able to do it. And direct after they got the money for the night i hade booked they suddenly tried to charge 250€ which i didn't understand why?

Locality is great, room was big, clean and fresh

Large, well-equipped, comfortable room in a quiet residential area. Close to transport links, cafes, bars and restaurants. A walk from Museum Island.

Location was central while being on a quiet street. Frank at Reception was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and quiet.
