ibis Hotel Berlin Spandau

The location of the hotel is appropriate for us, becouse our doughter's family lives in Spandau. This hotel is the nearest one to them. The hotel offers a good breakfast.

The hotel could use a renovation. The prices of the hotel are a bit expensive.

Needed more pillows; woke up with a neck pain

The bed is not cosy

The hotel is conveniently located, it was very quiet inside even it faces a busy road

The carpet in the room was very worn out, with burned (?) marks, anyway with lot of black stains. This is my only complaint but it’s really unpleasant.

The girls from the reception should have better manners. The gentlemen were real gentlemen. Lights by the bed are too weak to permit reading

The location and simplicity. It was clean

There is no small mirror in the bath.

Clean, functional hotel with easy check in, a good rate, and close to a shopping centre and Berlin Spandau station.

Typical Ibis with good bed & modern modular shower cubicle. Well decorated.

Needs a fridge & kettle/coffee maker.

Breakfast is way over priced. Go to the shopping centre next door much better and cheaper

Location is excellent next to train station. Lots of parking in the shopping centre car park. Amazing comfortable bed. Nice breakfast buffet. Very efficient little bathroom. Good value for money. I was in a wheelchair and it was very wheelchair friendly. Helpful staff. Clean.

The only wheelchair unfriendly bit was the room door had a strong spring so pushing it open requires some effort and there is no way to latch it open while you wheel your way in.

location is excellenti have heard the breakfast is excellent but i don't eat breakfast so i didn't try itthe staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and providing extra pillows etc

the design of the carpet is very strange, it looks stained and dirty even if it isn'tthe bathroom is tiny which means the location of the toilet roll is awkward

The room was decent

The windows don’t open easily so no fresh air gets in. There was no electric kettle in the room and we had to ask for one. No coffee/tea station in general which should be a standard for any hotel.

We stayed over to go to Lollapalooza (and see J-Hope). It was very convenient and close to the Olympiastadion / park. It was a bit further from the Airport and Berlin itself but that was expected and wasn’t the reason we booked this specific hotel. Staff was nice, rooms were clean and neat.

Basic room but comfortable, had everything we needed for a few nights. Very convenient for the station.

It was located just where we needed. The parking was convenient and the view was very nice.

We were attending Lollapollooza so this was in an excellent location for that - just 3 stops from the Olympic Stadium on the S9. The S9 runs to Spandau from the airport via the main tourist spots such as Alexanderplatz - so again a good place to say though it takes about 40 mins to get to central Berlin and 1hr 20mins to get to the airport. The hotel is next door to a big shopping centre with lots of food outlets so easy to find something to eat. I would describe the rooms as functional and quiet. We didn’t eat at the property so cannot comment on food provision. The bar had a limited amount of drinks - no red wine when we asked. The staff were fine though when we asked for extra pillows (they only provide one very squishy and not very supportive pillow per guest) it came across that they were slightly annoyed to accommodate our request - but maybe the person had had a bad day.

I hate having to walk through clouds of cigarette smoke to enter the building. Whilst this appears to be the norm in Germany, it seemed particularly bad on the days we were there - perhaps due to the hotel being so close to the shopping centre - but it was so bad it made our clothes smell and the lobby smelt of cigarette smoke too which I really don’t like. I wish they would move designated smoking areas a little further from main entrances in such circumstances.

Location of course, you tumble out the door into the metropole. Also only 1.5km from The Zitadelle which is worth a visit

Nothing really, as I stay in so many Ibis hotels, that this was one of the better ones!

Very close to the station. Friendly staff and very comfy bed/pillow.
