Generator Berlin Alexanderplatz

The price.

There was a bar on the main floor, and for someone like me that is a bit older and doesn't drink or party, it wasn't my scene. A lot of young people, early 20s.

The hostel was good. Rooms are also good.

The check-in is too late in the afternoon which is not always feasible for some people. Also in my case, I had to wait 30-45mins more because my room was not ready.

all as expected, friendly staff, towels and toiletries included

There‘s a lot to do at the location and the hostel is perfect for people wo want to enjoy Berlin‘s nightlife. The beds were very comfortable

The rooms could be cleaned a bit more. We found stuff from previous visitors under the beds.

Pros: great location, clean, large beds, excellent price + quality

The shared restroom and bathroom were not of the highest quality/cleanest, there is nothing like a refrigerator, dishes. We didn't plan to eat, but we wanted to store food for the trip, since we traveled between cities a lot, we needed a refrigerator.

Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable room. Great bar and games

It was in the center, the room was modern and really cozy

The windows didn’t isolate much noise from the street, also the table in the bedroom was sticky and a bit dirty

Everything was amazing....amazing location

except cleaning....during my 3 days stay not even once saw someone cleaning our room especially toilets

The beds are very comfortable, the blankets are warm and fluffy. The room and bathroom were cleaned every day.

The window couldn't be closed tightly and the first night of my stay I couldn't sleep because of the noise outside, lots of ambulances passing by.

Team try to help clean

Everything coast Money even towel And check out at 10 Not good.

location and staff

shower was broken

Perfect location, great bar downstairs, decent storage in the rooms, great staff.

(1). The bathrooms were outdated (not necessarily dirty, but inconvenient in many ways). (2) Lack of storage - no additional lockers apart from under bed drawers, no shelving or hooks in the bathrooms, a tiny table in the hostel room. I stayed with all friends but would be inconvenient to be there in strangers.

It was in a good location. The room was clean and the room was very warm.

Having to pay for towels upon arrival, which i have never come across before. Having to pay 6 euros to store our luggage because we arrived 2 hours early. We just wanted to leave them somewhere safe before check in. There was a permanent smell coming from the toilet in the bathroom. There was no where on the premises you could use a kettle or microwave etc. They just wanted money all the time for absolutely everything.

The location

The staff was rude and they would help at all. Very mean and it wasn’t really clean, the bed wasn’t even made you have to make it, and they didn’t clean the room each day.

Pleasant

the room (6 bed dorm) was extremely small. the beds didn’t have curtains so there was no privacy at all

Goos location, close public transport that can take you pretty much anywhere in Berlin. Very cheap fares for a relatively decent hostel (i've stayed in many, including Generator Dublin). Clean and comfortable enough. Do like that they give you a duvet instead of a sheet! Warmer and more cozy.

Personally, not a fan of this type of hostel. Too big, too much of a "party" hostel for me. I prefer smaller, more cozy feeling hostels. I find it harder to meet people in Generator, due to it's sheer size and the amount of school trip groups and friendgroups. They do organize activities, but it mostly seems to be centred around drinking and drinking games. If that's what you're looking for, great place to go. The bathrooms don't get cleaned regularly I think, definitely not daily (i spent three nights, bathroom hadn't been cleaned). Pillows need replacing or give people two. Flat as a pancake.

- good location (near Alexanderplatz)- good value for money, great for short stay

- paid lockers before check in and after check out (8€ for 24h)- internet only available in common area near reception, elsewhere not working

It was amazing only the wifi even our mobile data was too slow over that it was good and safe for me and my friends in quadral room.

The internet was slow sometimes it cut off

I stayed at the female only dorm and it was a really nice experience, everything was clean and comfortable. I felt really safe.

The only issue I had was how small the space between the beds and locker was and generally the room was really small and with five other people moving around it was really hard to manage yourself im that tight space.
