This large hotel is located in the heart of Berlin, just a 3-minute walk from Berlin Main Station. The Hotel AMANO Grand Central offers free WiFi as well as a green rooftop terrace and a stylish bar. The modern rooms at the AMANO Grand Central Berlin feature a modern and purist design. All rooms include air conditioning, soundproof windows, hardwood floors, a flat-screen TV, safe, mini-bar and a private bathroom. Culinary treats are served in the ground-floor bistro restaurant, and there are also on-site shops, conference facilities and a 24-hour reception. The hotel overlooks the River Spree. The area is popular for cycling and guests can hire bicycles at reception for exploring Berlin. The hotel is only 1969 feet from the Natural History Museum and 0.9 mi from the Reichstag (parliament) and the Brandenburg Gate. Private parking is available at the Hotel AMANO Grand Central for a daily surcharge. There are direct busses to Tegel Airport (3.7 mi) and direct trains to Schönefeld Airport (14 mi), as well as excellent public transport connections across the German capital.

- Location
- Great place to stay next to the train station. Absolutely quiet on the inside of the room although it's one of the busiest areas of Berlin. We stayed here since we were flying out the next day. Train across the street gets you to airport in 30 min!
- It was very close to the train station
Cons -
- The bathroom looked like the floor is never wiped. Had urine stains
- Lobby is very compact and gets crowded at times. Nothing else really of note. Some free coffee in the AM would have been nice. I think that it was 8 Euro for two (small) cups of coffee a la carte.
- the rooms were poorly organized. our first room was a "suite, but was actually one slightly larger room with a TV separating the living room/fold-out bed from the "bedroom". That room was way too hot and the windows could not be opened.
