Hotel Ambiente Berlin City

It’s a perfect location, very close to bars, restaurants, and public transportation.

Everything is good except for the heater. I tried to keep the room warm, but it’s still cold. However, it was nice of them to let me borrow their portable heater.

Relatively central location. Close to the U-Bahn. Friendly staff. Good Wi-Fi.

The last renovation was made probably in the 80s of the last century. Although everything was clean.

We were traveling with a car so parking spot in the hotel's garage was very convenient.Hotel is pet friendly so we could stay with our dog.Breakfast was nice with variety of different food for every taste.

Additional fee of 20 EUR / day for a dog was not so cheap.Hotel is located in LGBT district with lots of their bars and restaurants - which we didn't mind, but someone might.Our teenage daughter found it very interesting. ;)

not possible to receive guests after 22. we felt treated like teenagers. at the end since it was non refundable i booked another hotel for the same night

Location. Convenient access to public transport, restaurants, shopping, laundromat.

Booking gave "1 queen, 2 twin beds" as a room choice, but the hotel does not actually have that configuration. The "2 twin beds" was a double pullout couch. It was big and comfortable enough for the kids, but it also took up most of the rest of the room that you expect to have when you think you book "1 queen, 2 twin beds." So the room ended up rather crammed.

A short train ride or walk to the Berlin Zoo Station and all of its connections.

A desk to write postcards would have been nice.

Amazing location in a vibrant neighborhood and not far from two Metro stations. Next door to a grocery store.

It was quite clean

It was super cold, during the day and during the night. Also I asked with balcony there were no balcony

The balcony of our room if you are smoking it's help a lot. It is near to a central road with many shops an many food breakfast Cafe choices. The staff at the reception very kind and willing to help you.

The rooms are to noisy if someone rent a room next to yours it's impossible to sleep. To early in the morning at 8.00 the stuff start cleaning the check out rooms with the effect of waking us up with the sound of the vacuum cleaner. Bed and pillows is the most uncomfortable I have ever slept.

Poor value for money

Unfortunately really bad value for money. I paid 370€ for two nights. I believe in the 70€ range per night it would be fair for the type of hotel. Old and ugly furniture. Old carpet and curtains. Bathroom with 0 charme. Light cigarette smell in the room (I guess from the days when people were still smoking as the carpets and curtains never got changed). Energy saving lights giving a horrible light. Even if there is a conference in town the price is not justified. Colleagues of mine stayed at a different hotel within the same budget and had a much better experience in a proper, well-maintained hotel.

Only thing that is good is the situation to visit some close museum in the area

Personal is not very friendly and supplement bed in the room for 3th person is not confortable. More compentance , please
