Pros +
- The room was very clean and the bathroom was new.
- The staff was absolutely amazing, they made everything easier. The rooms and other facilities were incredibly clean. I would definitely go back. Location is quiet but also right by the U-bahn and 5-10 mins away from the tram line by walking.
- All the staff was very nice, helpful and respectful. They were a pleasure to talk to.
Cons -
- The breakfast and the noise in the hallways and neighboring rooms.
- I don't have much to complain about, but I think it would have been great to have some solo desks for working.
- Just a detail, but the beds had some unfinished/unused light (i think?) holes under them. Very distracting, i couldn't stop looking at them while laying there.

Thank you soooo much for the staff who make it a wonderful stay at the Meininger Hotels (Alexanderplatz). The communication pre-travel and throughout my stay was exceptional!! Truly appreciate how personable and attentive the staff is. When I needed to extend my stay by a couple of day, they made it happen. Even though I wasn't able to see the booking online, they found it on their computer and gave me at that price. The kitchen staff was excellent, too! The use of the laundry room, kitchen and bar were an icing on the cake. When I could not find dishwashing soap, one of the staff graciously offered to do the dishes for me. I turned it down out of respect (I soiled my dishes and should wash them on my own). Breakfast was perfectly timed and plentiful to keep me going almost the entire day. Oh! The adjacent bodega (grocery store) - 24-7, yo! And restaurants and coffee shop! What more could one ask for. Plus, the U-ban right at our doorsteps. An absolutely ease of access and well-facilitated neighborhood for a tourist!
The beds, most definitely, mattress and pillow. I came to run the marathon, so, would have appreciated a softer rather than a stiffer mattress! Also, some underbed drawers were broken. Would also help to post the "roommate dos and don'ts" in the room, perhaps inside the entrance door. I didn't find anything about lights-out until I asked the front desk. Yes, as I learned, they are posted in the elevator...but with plenty of stuff in German and anxious, nervous, and sleepless heads fixated on completing the marathon, it is soooo easy to miss it! Also, one of the rooms I stayed in ran out of handsoap, but was not replaced by the time I left.
The location is great, the room is comfy and the hotel have a nice place to hang I came after a long night without sleeping and there were some problems with my booking (not cause of the hostel) and Canmila, one of the staff member, was there to help with a smile and help to make the experience very welcoming Thank you ?
The room is a bit small for 4 people who doesn’t know each other and i think a simple cover for the bad can bring more privacy
The hotel is well located.
The rooms have not A/C and the smell was bad.
It's beyond expectations. Because the price is very reasonable, so you'd think that it won't be that good. But i was really appreciated from the facility and the staff. Specially, Marta at the reception and Erhan from the cleaning, treat the guests like family members and met all my extra requests. I can't thank them enough.
The location is quite central, the room was clean, friendly staff
The room was extremely small, would have been fine for 1-2 people, but certainly not enough space for 4 people
Very lively neighborhood and front desk staff were all delightful. There’s a bio grocery next door, which is very convenient. Really appreciated that when there was an issue with the room, the staff worked very quickly to resolve it.
It is expensive for a hostel and even the private rooms still feel like a hostel. (Having a coffee pot in the room would also make it so much nicer.)
Great location in the middle of Berlin. Easy access to subway. It was great that you could cook your own food in the customer kitchen (and do your laundray). The beds was much more comfortable than i expected, especially the bunk beds. Overall, we had a pleasant stay
No parking at the Hotel (but we found a parking garage 5-10 min walking distance north of the hotel). It was very warm in Berlin during our stay and the room did not have any air condition, it was HOT (they lended out fans if you wanted)
The staff was really friendly and accommodating and the neighborhood was perfect.
It was quite hot on the 6th floor, though it wasn’t terribly hot outside. The pics led me to believe there was more of a common hang-out area with games (partly why I booked) but that was not the reality.
New cozy hostel not far away from Alexanderplatz. The room is clean, the facilities are new, the beds are cozy. Many thanks to Roberto who helped me to proceed the payment and upgraded the room. I highly recommend to stay here.
The location was good. Walking distance from the supermarket, dm, and the U-bahn. Lots of restaurants nearby. The room had a good size. The bathroom was almost as big as the room, which was good. The beds were really comfortable. The staff was very friendly.
The room was EXTREMELY hot. There is no AC. We went during the summer and it was impossible to sleep. The sun hit the room during all the hours of the afternoon and the room kept the hot temperature, did not cool down. We had to sleep with the window opened, but we could hear all the noise from the street all through the night. People talking, yelling, playing music, etc.. The hotel is next to the street and you can hear cars all day. Additionally, there was a big construction going on, right in front of the hotel, and they started drilling the pavement at 6am, to make matters worse. The room could have a fan at least, or maybe have the option to ask for a portable/standing fan. We had a really awful night, but at least the beds were quite comfortable.
Desk staff Camila and Mumi were exceptional, warm, welcoming, and helpful. Their assistance and hospitality were greatly appreciated. The room was immaculately clean. The location was excellent.
Breakfast needs improving in all areas.
From the moment I arrived, Camilla and Marta went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care made my stay unforgettable. Whether it was giving local recommendations, sharing a laugh, or just checking in to make sure I had everything I needed, they created an atmosphere that felt more like staying with friends than at a hostel. Their energy truly set the tone for a friendly, comfortable, and vibrant environment. Big thanks to both of them – they are the heart of the hostel!
The staffs were friendly and the hotel was really close to the metro station. The room was perfect for our family of 6.
It's really difficult to highlight anything because all the aspects of the property were really high quality, the room was shiny and clean, they have free room cleaning service, comfortable beds, really fancy private bathroom and all the other facilities were also really satisfying and comfortable, but the best part that I would like to absolutely highlight was the staff, they were flexible, super super kind and helpful, always at our service with a big and honest smile!Thank you guys for everything, you were the biggest reason why it was an absolutely pleasure to stay in Meininger! :)
Literally everything went well! :)
The reception and help is just perfect. This very nice, symphatic butic hotel with tasty breakfast
Nice and clean rooms, the staff was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. Great location as it is very close to the center. After all, a great stay, we will definitely visit again.
Excellent location. Fair rooms, some of them with extraordinary views. Very clean. Very helpful staff. Very good, budget choice for groups and families.
