    Pros +

    • Room was spacious, clean and very quiet. Everything was great.
    • Great location (5-7 minute walk to the U Bahn; several bus stops within 5 minutes walk); bed was comfortable; staff was nice; communication with the hotel before my trip was excellent!
    • Two things were less than good:1. The placement of the desk was nowhere near any outlets so I had to actually move furniture in order to use the desk to do any work.2. The breakfast had no hot food, just cold cuts and breads. That was not a good value for almost E18.

    Cons -

    • Breakfast was not very good (and definitely not worth the amount they charge for it); bathroom was a bit small (but probably on par with European hotels)
    • I liked the location of the hotel and it was all very clean.
    • room way way too basic for the money paid, early 300 euros for two nights.THe fan in the bathroom did not work, a hanger on the bathroom door had fallen, the hole left was covered with tape!

    The rooms were nice looking.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay. The staff were unprofessional and provided very poor customer service. The breakfast was overpriced, low quality, and absolutely not worth the cost. When I requested a refund for it, my request was ignored entirely.Privacy was also a major issue—despite specifically asking that housekeeping not enter my room for the day, they came in and cleaned anyway. To make matters worse, the hotel had no hot water for two days, and management made no effort to address or compensate for this serious inconvenience.Overall, my experience was frustrating, disrespectful, and far below the standards one should expect. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

If you want to call it a pro, here’s the bare minimum: for a last-minute booking, the price wouldn’t make most travellers mad, so it was ok value. The area seemed safe and reasonably well connected, and being a bit off-center meant it was quieter, though it mostly just added to the industrial and deserted feel.

If you enjoy torturing yourself with unusual city planning and questionable hotel management, this place is for you! The hotel sits in an area that basically screams “industrial apocalypse,” with the nicer parts of Tiergarten a few streets away.My room was tiny and lacking, I’d call it “fridge-free minimalism,” which is a polite way of saying it felt like I was at a low-budget bed and breakfast dropped in the middle of nowhere. To top it all off, the staff appear to have taken a crash course in how to be as perplexing as possible. First, they told me my room was fully paid for, so I thought ‘great, money handled automatically’. Then the next day, a mysterious envelope appeared on my door summoning me to the front desk. Turns out I had to pay in person all along. Nothing like a bit of awkward confusion at 8 a.m. on your first full day in a new country. If you have no other options and absolutely must stay here, keep it short. 2-3 nights max unless you’re training for some sort of patience endurance contest.Bonus: I’m pretty sure I’m still recovering from the quicksand bed.

All good - room, service, breakfast

It would be nice if they add some water to the room number or at the reception after check-in

The staff was great, the location was convenient, and the interior was classy. We arrived early at 9 AM after an overnight train trip from Copenhagen, and they allowed us to check in right away. This made it possible for us to catch up on some sleep, and we were able to enjoy the city starting at noon. We really appreciated their kind gesture.

    Nothing at all.

The room was very small and very uncomfortable

Bathroom, no kettle, no fridge, small room, awfully dirty carpets

    Interior, vibe, staff :)

    Room was a bit small

The location was really good even though it wasn't in the touristy area and you could reach in less than 5 minutes to the U-Bhan by foot, and from there to the rest of the city. I really like the area. You have a lot of coffee places and an area for shopping nearby.

The lobby and the staff and everybody were amazing. The rooms were very, very basic. Nothing special about them. But again, if you're less about the room and more about exploring, then location and this hotel are perfect.P.S. no kettle in the room

    Clean, good location

    Uncomfortable pillows, too basic

    8BavaudPosted on: 6-19-2025

Breakfast (buffet) was great, also how it was presented. The location for our purposes was exactly what we needed to get to the Waldbühne. Underground near by and just one stop apart from the S-Bahn (to get to the airport). Our room was on the main street, but you could not hear the cars (windows closed).

The bed was hard and felt uneven, but since we only stayed for two nights it was ok. Others might prefer a harder mattress :o)

Great location. Easy to reach. Staff friendly. Didn’t spend a lot of time in the hotel, but was great to see nearby museums and great location

    8KarolinePosted on: 5-22-2025

The bed and pillows are comfy. Hotel is located close to a metro station. Nice design and convenient parking service.

The curtains in the room don't have blackout and there is a lot of light coming in, which is unpleasant. The breakfast is ok, but lacks hot dishes like bacon, potatoes or scrambled eggs. Also gluten free options is quite limited.

We didn't have a chance to enjoy it. We left very early the next day. We love Motel One and will always come back.

It seemed like the hotel need updating.

Well located for my work purposes

Too expensive for what it is, very basic room. Very small and the breakfast wasnt anything great. Staff hardly spoke English.

hotel within walking distance to the city center, everything is clean, nice staff, good parking

you cannot book parking spot and it costs 20 euro/day

The hotel has a very good location and the style and design of the interiors is very stylish. The bar and reception areas wonderful. Reception staff are very polite and engaging and a credit to the hotel.

Breakfast is basic and could offer a cooked food option for international tastes. But for the price a good deal.
