Space Night Capsule Hostel

Good supply of towels. Room/capsule were good value.

The bathroom occasionally was not clean. Residents could be more responsible. Some minor maintenance of the bathrooms.

The shared shower facilities were very clean and kept clean regularly by staff. The concept of the accommodation is cool, but see below for the issues.

The capsule was a hot box. Rather than having dedicated ducts from air-conditioning feed into the capsule, it is just fed by ambient air from the room. This coupled with a tiny and ineffective fan meant the capsule or should I say hot box reached temperatures of 26°C the first night with the door closed and 28°C the second night with the door open. Almost all other capsules slept with the door open and almost nothing on which defeats the purpose of this accommodation style. The recommended temperature for sleep by the Sleep Foundation is between 16 and 20°C. This needs to be fixed ASAP

My stay was great, location is amazing with great connections to public transport and not far from checkpoint charlie/in Mitte. The pods are a lot fun, it felt like staying in a spaceship. The bathrooms are nice and spacious, pretty clean unless you go at night after everyone's showered, then it's a bit damp, but they clean everything daily. The pods were big enough to sit upright, move around, and even had a little table, clock, usb ports for charging, and different kinds of lighting. The staff was always friendly. They also have good spacious lockers that use the same key that open your pod. All in all a great experience!

It was a bit hot since it was summer but they did a good job compensating with fans, I never felt uncomfortably hot.

Great location, clean facilities

Bed was a bit uncomfortable and the upper capsules can be difficult to get to

The bathrooms were big, where the hostel is located is a safe area near to everything and the bus station right in front of the hostel. Several supermarkets in the area and immediately under the hostel. They offer towels. The cleaning of the capsules after guests leave was great. They also offer lockers to keep your belongings.

Although the location was great, it was inside maybe an abandoned mall or what I couldn’t understand but I would find homeless crackheads sometimes downstairs, which was a bit scary for me as a young solo female traveler. The toilets also needed better cleaning. The staff weren’t friendly and tough, uncalled for firmness.

Don’t book this if you’re tall because you won’t fit in the capsule (we should’ve known?). Also the matrasses aren’t very good and it gets very hot inside the capsule.

Bed and pillow were very comfortable. Even better than the bed I have at home. USB charger port also came in handy. Staff spoke fluent english.

A little on the pricey side. Understandable given the location and high demand.

Location

The concept of capsules here doesn’t work. I think it could be just the same too put wooden boxes in dark room. If you want to sleep you need to let door open.

The bathrooms were quite clean and big.

- The staff were rude - they open your door at 9am with their key to start cleaning. My partner and I both were barged in on for no reason. - the rooms had no air conditioning so heated up almost unbearable in the summer. Most of the pods do not close due to this you will walk down and see everyone’s pods open

Best for the money. Clean. Free towels.

All the crazy noise you can hear coming from the outside while you are inside the capsule. We were only able to fall asleep at 3.30am. This is unacceptable. All the buttons inside the capsule are illuminated while sleeping and can not be turned off unless you remove card which turns off aircon. Aircon was only working partially which made it hard to breathe inside the capsule hosting 2ppl. It was very hot at night.

The vibe, the location, the price,

It was too hot inside the capsules. Probably a better choice when it's not summer.

The location was excellent. It was near a supermarket so you could take breakfast at that super market. The staff was very friendly and also the facilities was really nice. The beds were good.

The temperature in the capsule was really warm so sleeping was hard. Most of the time i was up very early. The temperature was around 25 degrees and there was no possibilty to change the temperature in the capsule

The hostel is “space themed” which I imagine can put people off. If you want a reasonably priced hostel with privacy and security as a solo traveller this is the place for you. Your own capsule provides your own space; the toilets are shared but there are 10 or so for everyone so you don’t feel pressurised on time when using them. It was fully booked the whole time I was there but it didn’t seem like it.

I think if you came for the “space experience” you would be a little disappointed
