Horrible, full of drain flies...

There where drain flies all over the bathroom. And when I talked to the person at the desk I was told “that happens if you leave the window open”. The bathroom did not have a window and I didn’t open it. He gave me some bug spray to kill them. When I went to him again telling him that more just kept coming he told me he could die nothing about it.It was horrible I stay in hotels all over Berlin regularly but have never seen bugs or flies in any hotel.

Spots and hair in bed, traces of poop and sperm in bathroom, on bedsheets and on the couch. Very dirty, seems to be a hotel for hourly pleasures.

We got a very dirty, stinky room with terrible mattresses. The room was looking like shelter for homeless people! We came late and the administrator was not in the place, so we could not even complain. Next day morning, we complained and asked to cancel our stay in the hotel as it was disgusting hotel. It did not fit the descriptions and pictures that they published. Instead of satisfying our request, the administrator proposed us another room, more clean, but also with these terrible mattresses. We refused and left the hotel.

Nothing it was just an awful experience

The wifi was not working. The room was beyond standard. I requested a double bed only to receive 3 single beds with one badly made up. The bathtub /shower was just horrible. The food for the whole stay it was the same no changes. The room was not properly cleaned

Very basic, room reasonably clean, poor breakfast, 11am checkout.

The location is ideal to commute into the city centre for its price as it is right next to the Adenauerplatz metro station with many restaurants nearby. Also my flight was delayed and the man on reception kindly kept the check in desk open until 10:30pm so I could check in so great service.

This may be the worst place I've ever stayed. Cracked walls, dark creepy halls, dirty threadbare carpet, and a bathroom door that wouldn't close. It wasn't welcoming, and honest, it's a bit scary. I know this area well and have stayed in other nearby hotels that were just fine. City Hotel is like a rundown tenement.

The only thing I liked about it, it’s the location! That’s it…

What an awful receptionist, the man that is in charge of the reception. He was very rude and he didn’t make me feel comfortable at all. I was super tired and I needed to check in early and he didn’t let me do that. I understand that the room might be still dirty, but there are ways to treat people and being a receptionist is not your job! When I asked him if I can wait in the reception or chill in a sofa, he said that I can’t, so I left the hotel, I was tired and it would be nice to be able to relax a little while my room was made. Once I checked in the room was ok, not very clean. The hall is very noisy. The bathroom does not have a way to filter the water when you shower, so the bathroom flooded and also the room was full of water. Horrible experience!

Nice clean room with big space and view for outside for main street.Situated on nice shopping street. All shops close from there. Close to few cinemas. Good area and place

Location was ok.

Shower door was broken, no toiletries supplied. The carpet on the main stairs was all stained and dirty. Customer service was not the forte of the receptionist.

Booked a room with balcony but did not have one. Check in took very long and had to fill in all personal details eventhough I had provided everything online and had to rush to an appointment. Staff just entered my room without knocking even though they would've heard me speaking on the phone. Wanted to speak to reception but the person was always busy.

the hotel is very very old and there is no facilities at all no TV in the room and the sound of the other rooms and everything was not comfortable. the amount paid for this hotel is very high compare to the quality of the place. i guess this should not be more the 1 or 2 stars maximum.

- good location, with bus stop and metro directly in front of the hotel and train station Charlottenburg just a 10min walk

- single room was quite small- Furniture and equipment partially broken - no option to leave luggage in the hotel after check-out - 80€/night (admittedly short term booking) too expensive for this place

The reception was very unfriendly, sturborn and rigid. I had to pay 20 euro more for the same room to have a friend join me.despite the advert saying room can take a maximum of two adults.
