The location is nice, looking out over the tidal bore and the city. The man at the counter was very friendly.
The toilet needed to be bolted down as it shifted each time it was sat upon. The bathroom smelled of urine which I figured out was the shower curtain after cleaning the toilet and floor myself. It was mildewy.
The motel was clean, but dated. It was what one would expect in a low cost motel. Nothing fancy but it was comfortable and the owner/operators were very pleasant. There is a view of the bore but you should look for the info centre to watch it.
Motorcyclists will want to ride carefully at the entrance. There are some nasty holes in the driveway you will want to avoid.
Very easy to find even in the dark. Accommodating, friendly staff. The room was what we expected - 70's décor, small, yet clean with fridge and immediate hot water.
The hotel was great. It would be nice if there was a kettle or coffypot.would have been good.
