Pinecone Motel

The staff were super friendly and helpful. I thought the place was awesome - but it may be too minimal of a motel style for others. Place was in the middle of nowhere and completely lived up to expectations. Two thumbs up!

It looks much better in pictures than in person. Room was ok for one night and the price, the owner was very nice, but I would not go back for another stay.

The room was nice and clean. The owner was very friendly, he treated his customers like friends and gave info about the scenic spots. There¿s a large meadow outside with picnic tables and a fire pit that people can relax. The breakfast was very good ¿¿

The waffles freshly made every morning with the homemade blueberry sauce.

The staff was exceptional - very hospitable and kind. They made a wonderful breakfast of blueberry waffles in addition to a nice spread of a continental breakfast. They got us an extra cot for our son. We loved the forest setting.

The couple that run this place are the sweetest, friendliest people you could ever meet. The hotel is a great deal and you get what you pay for, so don't expect anything more than a plain, country road-side motel and you won't be disappointed.

Owners were warm, professional and friendly. It was clear from the beginning to end that your quality and comfort of your stay was important to them.

The owners are really nice and attentive. The homemade biscuits and muffins were very good. They were willing to make eggs to order, and as usual with big smiles.

I've been coming here for 3 yrs now. They've slowly been renovating, so still a bit dated...BUT...they have heat pump air (nice and quiet unlike other places I've stayed), renovated bathrooms, keyless entry...still some work to do, but it is clean and the bed was comfy. I go out of my way to stay here on my yearly pilgrimage to Cape Breton.

It was a motel so didn’t have a lot of expectations so there really wasn’t anything I could complain about.

Great staff, its run by a couple. Comfortable bed, room was clean. Basic and nice breakfast, would love to come again.

Two things—poor wifi, and I realized in the morning that they are using some tactic to boost the signal from their reception area and save some internet cost. It was so poor that you could not open a single page, and even telecom reception was not good. The other thing was the AC creating a lot of noise. I had to literally turn off the AC in the middle of the night because of the noise. Apart from that, everything was good.

Quiet, hot breakfast, very nice hosts, convenient, secure

Breakfast was simple but freshly made: muffins still warm, egg done as to guest's preference, good coffee.

Space for breakfast was limited, but table in the room to eat it at comfortably.
