Hillside Motel

It was quiet. I appreciated having a bar fridge

There was no air conditioning. The room was *very* small

Upon check in informed me I wasn¿t allowed guests, clearly stated in the policy, guests allowed until 11pm. Extremely disappointed, and will never book there again.

That the staff were very friendly

The room was very dirty. The parking was not ideal. The blankets were dirty. They only have one employee cleaning all of the rooms and they need more staff. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in the next room.

I thought the room was laid out nicely and it was clean and considering how old the furniture and flooring etc were it looked decent.

They were not upfront with their pet fee which was outrageous and when confronted about it they said they didn't really want pets at their motel so I would think they should just not advertise as pet friendly. A 30 dollar a night pet fee is outrageous.

I like that it was affordable and had the basic amenities that I required; a bed, a table, washroom with shower. It's a fine place to stay if you are just passing through Saint John.

The whole place is getting a little old and rough around the edges. It could use some sprucing up and updating of furniture, etc.

No bed bugs

fairly expensive for the type of motel. Somewhat rundown.
