1st night was perfect we were alone on the floor . But the second night was a nightmare.There was a group (probably youth )who came in at 3 am and the party was in the place ran in the stairs up and down slammed doors. We could not even sleep.

The matelas was way to soft, probably at his end of life. this is the only bad thing about my stay.

To your question: no breakfast was served. I liked the old fashioned charm of the building in general, and there were real efforts made to decorate the rooms and public spaces. The quality of the bed was very good.

We didn't know how the system worked. My fault. I don't have a cell phone and we had been travelling for the preceding week so we did not get the proper room code. Booking dot com had it wrong. We were two hours sorting that out. The hotel is entirely without staff, Calls, dormant answering machines, help from the staff in the restaurants, and finally a code was supplied by "someone." We were in at last to "our" room. But caveat, without our understanding, we had been assigned to another room by "someone" else, Hence, a late-arriving customer came barging into our room near midnight after we were in bed and asleep to claim "his" room. It was a circus. (You guess how that turned out.) Meanwhile, the shower was defective, having no settings between ice cold or scalding hot. In the end, I was compelled to opt for a cold one! Brrr! The room, by contrast, was a bake oven which we endured because the in-room air conditioner was too loud to sleep over. Sweat bath! And to top it off, when we had our coffee on the little porch at the back the next morning, the door automatically locked behind us! (Your guess as to how we retrieved our stuff.) Quite simply, we were not smart enough, or intuitive enough for this incredible hotel, and ignorance is misery. I got through my next day with all the perils of three-hours of desperate sleep. For the savvy and uncritical, including those insensitive to water temperatures and rumbling machines inside and outside the room, this potentially charming and technologically avant garde, self-operating hotel can and no doubt does work perfectly well for tired wayfarers. We talked to three or four to prove it. And the restaurants downstairs, with their quality food and service, can make up for the rest. Drink, be happy, and go to bed legally and soundly inebriated or as close to syncope as possible. As for quality / price, if suffering can be priced, this place owes me a fortune.

Situated right downtown. Very clean and it was quiet even though it is above a restaurant.

We were not told that we only had access to the room after 4 pm.

They do not have any staff and we didn’t get the code to get into the building. Had to call 4 numbers to get in touch with someone to get the access code

The auberge is in a great location and the room I had was nice and comfortable although small.

The room was very nice! The bed was comfortable and big, and the sink in the room is very practical with shared bathrooms. AC works great. The common spaces were squeaky clean. Excellent location. Easy checkin/out. Had a pleasant stay and would go back again.

Narrow staircases, not ideal with large luggage. Wifi was a bit slow. Some noise in the streets during the evening but quiet at night. Earplugs at your disposal within the room which is a nice touch.

Pretty good location, with a free parking for your vehicule at the restaurant. Great as a base for many daily road trips if needed as well. Air condionner will be loud, however, they do provide you with earplugs. Great overall

Perfect space for some time spent alone to nourish the soul. The accomodation was great and the staff extremely responsive. Beautiful central location.

Bed was comfortable and communications with the Auberge were well detailed and simple to follow. Good location and perfect place for a solo traveler.

Very small room. no desk for lap top/working available. No air conditionner (very warm inside the room, it was broken), no parking avalaibleWelcome was So-So by the restaurant.... Would have been much more confortable at the hotel for almost the same price.
