The Only Backpacker's Inn

Pros +

• This is a hostel. I was one of six to a room. Your expectations do change. They cater to backpackers and solo travelers. My bare necessities were met and I met a lot of interesting people. Ozzy was really cool to talk to! There was a jazz concert as well!
• The location is amazing. Subway around the corner. Food places down the road. Walkable and good neighbourhood. Also very welcoming and everything was provided as needed.

Cons -

• The only thing I didn't care much for was the basement laundry room. There was an odor, but given the age of the building, it wasn't a deal breaker. Again, you go to hostels for a place to sleep and not much else. Self-sufficiency is a must.
• It is on top of a bar, and it was not clearly identified. I booked 2 rooms, but when I arrived, they told me it is in one room with 4 beds, and we need to share the room with another 2 persn. Worst experience ever.
• They would not let me check in because my I.D. was a Canadian passport and did not have an address specifically showing I didn't live locally despite my billing information being available to them. So instead I walked the streets of Toronto all night.
