Close to the water, play ground for the kids. Friendly hard working staff.

Beds were only doubles that were hard to sleep for 2 people. Also beds were hard.

Property is very clean and motel and room was quite updated.

Kitchen area needs separate lighting. Main light is in living area; but it was dark over stove and sink.

Good location. Beautiful property/scenery. Friendly people. Far enough from the highway that you do not hear the trucks/traffic.

Nowhere to hang clothes/coats. ie: no hooks or coat rackNot very noise proof - can hear neighbors quite clearly. Luckily, they were not up late.

Very clean room with a comfortable firm bed. Owner was very kind and went above and beyond to help us out with an issue we had.

Owners Gary and Nav were exceptional! They both were Kind, Courteous and Helpful! I really enjoyed the cleanliness of the room and the quiet beautiful location! The price was reasonable and not over priced.My family have been coming to the Welcome Inn in Mattawa for years and they recommended these accommodations. I am so glad they did! I have only one small recommendation for allergy reasons. I recommend changing your carpet freshener to a more healthier alternative for allergy sufferers such as a mixture of Baking soda and an Essential oil (for example: lemon, orange, lime, lavender, peppermint, rosemary, cinnamon, or eucalyptus.).

Very clean and quiet - only a 5 minute drive into Mattawa where there is a Tim Horton's and grocery store. Beds were very comfortable. Pleasant surroundings as the motel is situated on a lake.

The info on booking.com stated the room was equipped with tea and coffee facilities, a hair dryer and an ironing board. None of these amenities were in the room. The owner however did not seem aware of these listed amenities. She kindly lent me her tea kettle to make tea and coffee which I had brought from home.

The owners were welcoming and kind, even calling after we checked in to see if we needed anything. I asked for two towels and they were promptly dropped by. The beds were comfortable and clean. the bathrooms looked like they had been recently updated with tiles and flooring. it was the perfect spot for a quick stop off in our trip. This was a winter stay, so we didn’t take advantage of being right on the lake, but I’m sure it’s lovely in the summer.

The motel sits on a beautiful lake. The motel had the feel of a little Inn where you would stay a while. All the other guests were so friendly. The motel was immaculate.

This is a difficult review to write. It was obvious the owners had recently opened (because of the covid shut down) and they had cleaned the rooms to the point where you could literally eat off the floors. However that was also the problem. The rooms had a powerful smell of bleach or a cleaning product of some kind. I think the carpets had been washed but they were still somewhat damp. The humidity in the room was unbearable because it made the sheets and blankets feel as if they were literally wet making for one of the most uncomfortable sleeps I've ever had. The smell of the bleach combined with the dampness in the room was very difficult to overcome. I write this hoping the issue has been resolved over time because it really was a nice little motel that is a perfect location to stop on your way to a destination.

Facility is a little older but well kept. Owners are extremely friendly, rooms are kept exceptionally clean and there is a good selection of TV channels. There is plenty of parking especially if your travelling with a trailer and need the space. Because it is set back from the highway and slightly out of town the area seems very secure.

Evrything the owners go way out of there way to make sure your comfortable and happy Having just gone through there own trauma with recent fire they are amazingly positive and only looking ahead at there future Great people and great location for some quality r and r

The beds were uncomfortable. The tv only got one station. The water from tap smelled really bad. The staff were never in office.
