- At first I was skeptical as there were 2 men at the front desk. I was alone and I'm a woman. I was the only guest and this made me nervous. Nonetheless I stayed overnight. I had nothing to fear. Great people. Very accommodating. Thanks ÿÿ

Breakfast
Loved the ambience - walking in to a cozy fireplace
Bed was squeaky - mattress was moderate (not super comfy)Bathroom provided no privacy
Lovely hotel at a great location. Entering the hotel feels like going back in time. The hotel is clean and comfortable.
Little to no food options around the hotel. Closest is Goderich.
Nice property. Clean.
Very laid back proprietor. Needed to call him to cheque. When we wanted breakfast, needed to call him. Breakfast was very mediocre.
Adorable, quirky property, great hot tub, kept up nicely, close to a great beach, lovely owner, yummy breakfast, relaxing place.
No A/C in the rooms which a little warm but it was okay as there was a good fan setup.
The breakfast was lovely and well presented.
We thought that there was a restaurant, but there was not. Everything else made up for it though.
The hot tub on sight! There's a firepit and chairs that you see the sunset
Excellent service, great breakfast and lovely historical Inn. Very comfortable and easy location to other areas off HWY 21 to explore
Peaceful, good location quirky property and helpful staff.
Height of the bed!
It was a very interesting place. We liked the sitting area with the fireplace. We liked having separate rooms for our family members with access to two bathrooms. The beds were comfortable. The location was right on our way back home. The proprietor was friendly and explained how we could use the facilities. There was a nice continental breakfast with coffee, juice, muffins and several choices of fresh fruits.
Because our room was small, there was no space for our luggage. The shower/bathroom that was located with our room was a little small and not much room for necessities needed when showering or using the mirror. There was no elevator. We also had two doors that overlapped in our room which was odd, but they didn't really cause a problem other than you couldn't lock the door. We felt safe though and enjoyed the time spent there.
We loved the ambience of this 1842 little Inn. The owners have maintained its original look and feel, making it appear as if you've turned back time! The owners were so amazing ... they made us feel welcome and totally relaxed. The small size of the inn also made it possible to speak and enjoy time with other guests, but privacy was also available. Great place to stay!! Absolutely loved it!Shelly and Frank
Can't think of a single thing we didn't like!
Great little place, very peaceful and owners were very nice. Great breakfast made with love and care ❤️
The only thing I wasn't a fan of was that you have to share a fridge with other guests. And the beds were a bit outdated and loud to move around on.
Nothing. Although my reservation was confirmed by you, there was no room available when I tried to check in!!
-Breakfast was very nice with delicious homemade granola and muffins, juice, yogourt, fruit and tea-Personable host -Unique cared for setting beside river with bridge and fish research area-Short distance to glorious quiet clean Lake Huron beach
-The Inn is not air conditioned but does supply fans
The room is comfortable. Breakfast is great. Quiet environment.
It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Easy walk to the beach/waterfront . Close to Goderich
Advertised as including breakfast but no breakfast was available.
The Inn was amazing with all it’s ancient decor letting us feel like it was 200 years ago !! We felt at home as soon as we stepped in. Because it was a wet weekend we enjoyed table games and the guys enjoyed watching the hockey playoff game sitting comfortably at the Beautiful Bar. Breakfast was incredible with homemade cereal, muffins made by our host’s wife ?Thanks to our wonderful host for our great time ?
If the General Store was in business, so we could eat there and not have to drive to Goderich, too bad it’s up for sale .
