Agassiz Hotel and Restaurant - Under New Management

Only liked the owners, they were lovely people.

Everything , false advertising. There was no restaurant , no lounge, huge thick cobwebs. Even dust bunnies in phone cord and the phone didn?t work. The air conditioner had not been run for some time and smelled strong of mildew. No bed bugs thankfully

Yes. The room smelled filthy when we walked in. A mixture of tobacco and dirt. The carpet looked like it had never been shampooed in decades.

The proximity to Riding Mountain National Park and it's wonderful hiking trails and scenery.

Total lack of upkeep and cleanliness. Basic housekeeping is of the worst level of expectations. Too bad they don't realize the effect on business. They complained about being slow on business and it appears mostly self inflicted.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

I appreciate the hospitality and honesty of the management. My kid hid my wallet in the room and we left without it. When I called the hotel, they went to the room immediately and found it.

Good coffee in the room, comfortable beds & pillows, bathroom shower & tub updated. Location quiet & close to reunion spot.

No food services on site.

Location is great, very handy. Person at front desk was great upon check in.

Heat didn’t work so it was freezing. Beds were terrible and bedding felt dusty. Overall property exterior looked abandoned.

Could not lock and unlock the door, the card and password did not work, had to use the door between rooms

There was used soap in the shower when I walked in , the A/C didn’t work , beds felt like bricks

The TV didn't work, the phone didn't work, the swimming pool was not usable, no continental breakfast or restaurant open for breakfast, the lobby smells very musty and very bad.

Dirty cup on the table. Coffee pot wasn’t clean. Didn’t see it but sure there was a mouse in the room. Room wasn’t prepared when we got there. Had to wait 20 minutes at the front desk till it was ready.

Short ride to RMNP. Nice comfortable room at very good price.

Restaurant closed. But we were prepared for that.

No Kleenex tissues, no lotions, tiny tv monitor, Only 32” tv if that, hardly any channels, low old beds, 1 towel each and smelled awful. Hopefully sheets where washed.

I like the family room. It has 3 beds! East entrance to Riding mountain is very near. Saw many animals after taking the shortcut to Riding mountain visiting center. Amazing experience!

Pool table and restaurant were closed at 7pm. Expected to open until 9pm.

No restaurants service. Motel was not busy. No other guests

It was close to my brother's place that I wanted to visit. The staff were helpful when I requested help with the keys.

It could have been cleaner. The outdoor key did not work so had to go through my sister's room to get to my room from inside. I could hardly see outside as the windows were very dirty and one pane was cracked. It would have been nice to be asked by the staff if I needed more coffee for the room, etc. I realize that that the place is under renovations and I hope that my next experience will be better.

The room was clean but musty smelling. Fridge worked well. The owners were friendly.

No breakfast available. Coffee available but no cups to drink it in. The bed side lamp did not work (plug and cord separated when tried to unplug). The mattress was soft and leaned to the center. Windows should be cleaned.

front desk was closed and door locked when I arrived and was locked when I tried to check out. had to go to beer vendor to check in and argue with the person to check in. the place was empty!!

There was no restaurant open when we arrived. Not sure I would've eaten there anyways by the looks of the restaurant.

They could start by updating the rooms.
