Super 8 by Wyndham Slave Lake AB

First time being in slave lake and yes it was a good location to sleep at. Close to stores. Even the workers were nice and no problems plus even the cleaners were nice.

I think the pricing should be in Canadian dollars not u.s. dollars-the pool was colder than a freezer and the hot tub was also like a freezer so therefore didn't use it

Pool and hot tub weren't working so we got a free upgrade to a suite with a whirlpool. The hot breakfast was also good.

Nothing major. The fan only had one setting and was a little loud.

Toilets kept plugging in multiple of our team’s rooms. No hot tube. Beds not very comfortable. Expensive for what you got.

The breakfast was mediocre, those breakfast sandwiches that they put together. We’re not that great. I took one bite of mine and threw it in the garbage. Then I had a bowl of cereal and a glass of apple juice.

Somebody at 4 o’clock in the morning decided it would be really good to drag something steel across the pavement outside and woke me up

Rooms are dated and filthy, mold on roofs, broken doors, bad smells. For 218.99 you would think it would be nice

The other guests were extremely loud at inappropriate times and the staff did nothing about it when I complained.

it was nice and close to town and everything that I needed! although we didn’t use it, there is a pool and water slide!

my 2 year old daughter and I stayed for 4 nights and housekeeping did not come up to our room one single time!! when I asked why they said that they only clean the rooms every 3-4 days when long term booked ? there were black hairs in the shower on the walls too…

The 1 staff member was friendly

No hot breakfast was offered not even cereal or toast and no room service /stay over service wasn’t told until after we paid and checked in no discount or upgrade offered as a courtesy for the inconvenience

We liked the alarm on the room door. It let us know when the door wasn’t fully latched or when our kids were trying to escape.

We went to that hotel specifically for the pool. However it was very cold. Our baby was shivering the whole time so I had to take her upstairs and run her a warm bath too get her to stop shivering. It was not as enjoyable as we had hoped. The hotel itself was also very cold until we turned the heat on in our room.

The rooms were clean and beds were comfy.

The front desk staff seemed annoyed if you asked them anything and seemed quite grumpy.

The hotel photos are misleading. There is NO hot tub, they have boarded the area off and just the cold, pool shown is usable. The slide was fast, my kids enjoyed it but the water was very cold, and there was too much chemical in the water which created rashes on my children. The room was not the cleanest, the whole building was quite old and run down. Our door was not closing properly and the lady just said to pull it hard, little did we know this was pulling the mechanism above and eventually the entire hinged ripped out of the door, looking at it was apprent it had happened beforeBreakfast was subpar and not the freshest.food was cold even though it was a hot breakfast. Hallways and rooms are very dirty, the carpets are old and stained. The mirror in our bathroom was also cracked and brown staining in the tub. Overall would not recommend.

Uncaring and unaccommodating staff member (the night receptionist Lisa) did not believe in damage control when we arrived after a long and arduous journey due to road closures and found the fridge not working. The issue could have been corrected in a minute by the staff. We ourselves much later identified that the electric outlet was not functioning. A simple issue to plug the fridge in another socket. I have worked for an airline most of my life and felt that she definitely needs training in hospitality.

The breakfast was OK but not one of the best we have had while traveling. The location was perfect for where we were heading for work.

The furniture is showing its age and is a little run down. No smoking signs all over but yet someone was smoking weed in the building. Carpet needs replacing as well. Other than that it was a great stay.
