    Pros +

    • Nice and clean hostel in a good location in Calgary. Room was nice and cool and clean and the free breakfast was a nice bonus.
    • We stayed there 4 nights. We had a private room which was ok but small. Shower was always clean. The breakfast area could get an update. Breakfast was poor. It is a typical hostel where can´t be alone the common area. It is more like all being together
    • Free breakfast, lots of social activities, easy walk to downtown.

    Cons -

    • Only tiny thing is that it was a little tricky to find as the front entrance is somewhat unclear.
    • The hotel listing did NOT inform me that they only accepted guests from outside Alberta. It was very stressful to arrive at my destination, only to be turned away at 1 am.
    • No individual bed lights, large rooms.

We booked the only private room in this hostel. Upon arrival the lady was very helpful to explain everything. Room was clean and warm ( we visited in November ). Despite it is a hostel, there was plenty of common space to stay outside the room. I particularly liked the quiet reading area.Breakfast was like in Italy, lots of fruits, jam, nutella and other sweet stuff, there is even a pancake maker, kitchen area is big enough for a few people to prepare their food and there is enough seats outside to eat comfortably. Was a positive surprise that we received a free laundry voucher because of the number of nights we stayed, although the washed clothes did not have any washing powder smell. Staff was very helpful arranging our stay extended with one extra day, which we really appreciated. Bathroom/toilet was not overly busy during our stay and was clean enough for us. Most of the guests were quiet and everyone was respectful and this hotel only accepts tourists, no locals allowed to stay, which I think is a good thing. On our leaving day staff allowed us to leave our luggage in the building locked away and we could come back to the lobby, use the bathroom. Hospitality was amazing, we don`t normally book hostel kind of accommodation, and this place was well above our expectation.

    We were happy with everything

What I would like to highlight is Breakfast and kind staff. Good location in the city centre, close to many key places. Rooms are spacious so we are able to arrange our stuff without bothering others guests. There are three common areas which is good. The kitchen works amazing and there are plenty of space for everyone. Free coffee 24/7.

There is only one locker in the bathroom to put our stuff when we are going to take a shower. There are no seats in the bathroom. There is no curtains on the bunks bed for more privacy.

    The location was great

No bathroom in the dorm room. The water was off on my final morning so I couldn’t take a shower after my run and we were not pre warned .

The vibes of the hostel are really nice, trivia night on Thursday was awesome!! Great place to make connections, and good location to Calgary sights and buses/trams

    8CameronPosted on: 10-24-2024

Hostel was nice enough - nice kitchen and common area.

Bathrooms could have been cleaned and better arranged.

    4GregoryPosted on: 10-23-2024

    Location was nice.

Parking was a nightmare. Security of personal stuff was/is non-existent. Property was run down.

    7BriannaPosted on: 10-22-2024

Room was clean and place felt safe.

People were quite loud at all hours of the night and it didn’t get completely dark in the room.

    Showers were a little cramped

Lots of areas to relax and keep occupied. Kitchen was well setup. Close walk to big supermarket

No elevator and bags were far too heavy to carry up 2 flights of stairs.

The room was quite big , high ceiling , everything was really clean and the must is the free breakfast ! Had more than what you need ! Good people vibe , definitely a good adress for an hostel ! Will be back if needed. Thank you guys !

The showers could be a bit biger ( very narow if you want to change in the shower cabin)

    10ValentynaPosted on: 10-8-2024

Excellent hostel. Big, bright, clean, warm with everything you need. Breakfast, coffee/tea free throughout the day. The room is warm and the beds are comfortable. The hostel administration allowed me to leave my luggage after checkout, so I don't have to walk around until my flight with 25 kg extra. Very good impressions after staying. I recommend 10/10

    10CameronPosted on: 10-5-2024

The relaxed environment, hostel held events and the enthusiasm and effort made by the staff, the manager in particular with his efforts in the trivia and Friday night party. Thanks wicked, I had a WICKED time
