it was exactly where I needed it to be.
Clean room on the first day. Comfy bed. Quiet neighborhood. Vancouver (for tourists) is about 45 minutes away by car. While pleasant to average, the owners could do more to help themselves and their guests through more effort and business knowhow.

Cons -

It is really a well appointed basement suite, and though I cannot speak for the other bedrooms in the basement suite, the one I had did not have any windows, making it a firetrap. Additionally, the breakfast option was not an option.
House owner doesn't speak English - daughters translated. Tourist knowledge of area is lacking - no brochures even. What's actual is different than their ad. No coffee/breakfast. No fridge in room. Noisy family conversations. No daily cleaning.
