Located on the shores of the Salish Sea and 5 mi outside of Courtenay, British Columbia, this resort offers an oceanfront spa and on-site dining. Rooms feature a DVD player and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy scenic views of the ocean and mountains. Each spacious and contemporary room at Kingfisher Pacific Resort and Spa is furnished with a balcony or patio, some boasting views of the ocean. They are equipped with a small refrigerator. Guests can work out in the gym or relax in the natural cave-themed Pacific Mist Hydropath steam room. Free parking is available for guests of the resort. West Coast cuisine and seafood are served at Ocean7 Restaurant and AQUA Bistro & Wine Bar, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The ferry to Denman Island is within a 15-minute drive of The Kingfisher Resort. The Sid Williams Theater is 5.6 mi away.

Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply. Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. A damage deposit of CAD 250 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed on check-out. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to an inspection of the property. Please note, guests under 13 years of age are only welcome in the pool between 09:00-10:00 and 18:00-20:00, and only when accompanied by an adult. Upon check-in, guests will need to provide a valid photo ID and a credit card in their name. A credit card authorization will be processed upon arrival. Visa Debit cards, bank cards or cash will not be accepted.

Pros +
- The beachfront setting and views were idyllic. The spa was well maintained and clean. Staff were friendly, courteous and attentive.
- The view and the fireplace were excellent. The restaurant and Restaurant staff were excellent. The grounds were well maintained and the pool and whirlpool were clean.
- Although I didn't have time to use it on this trip, the Hydropath Spa experience is excellent and well worth the price - as a couple or alone, as part of a spa package or by itself, it is very relaxing. If you want to splurge, get an oceanfront suite.
Cons -
- Absolutely NO DISCOUNTS available. Makes me feel that I did 38 years serving Queen, and a VERY SMALL segment of the general buiisnesses. Guilt trip coming-----I get treated and recognized BETTER in the USA than I do here. WHY??
- The room, albeit clean, was shoddy: paint chipping off the dresser drawers by the main door: rotting drywall at the shower stall sliding glass door; spider/dust webs behind the bathroom mirror lights; blankets were old/pilling and threadbare.
- It had a sort of dated feeling. I guess we were expecting more exotic feeling.
