Just off South Island Highway, this motel is located along the coast of the Strait of Georgia. It features a picnic area with barbecue grills. All suites offer a kitchenette. A cable TV and sitting area with sofa are furnished in the modern suites at Edgewater Motel. Suites feature warm colors and offer free Wi-Fi. A work desk is also provided. Guests can cookout in the barbecue and picnic area or spend some time at Motel Edgewater’s private beach area. This motel is a 15-minute drive from Miracle Beach Provincial Park, and a 20-minute drive from the Museum at Campbell River. Story Creek Golf Club is just 3.5 miles away.

Pros +

  • clean but very dated - not quite what we expected. No real view of the water. Bed was comfortable though. TV not in bedroom but sitting room with uncomfortable seating.
  • It was a okay room, nothing special. It served the purpose.

Cons -

  • Dot expect us when checking in or out.
  • The views in the pictures made is it seem if they were taken from the windows in the room. When actually they were taken either from the picnic area or the office windows. The access to the beach was also misleading, very high staircase straight down.
