Located across the street from the white sands of Walter Fletcher Beach, this Montego Bay hotel features Robin’s Prime Steakhouse and the Body Bliss spa. Free Wi-Fi is offered in all rooms. Cable TV and a private bathroom are found in each bright, colorful room at the Altamont West Hotel. Air conditioning and ironing facilities are also included. Guests of the Altamont West can swim in the outdoor pool or relax on the grass-covered terrace. The Body Bliss spa offers a choice of authentic Mayan treatments. A business center offers computer services to guests. Doctors Cave Beach is 1640 feet from the Altamont. The Montego Bay Craft Market is located next to the hotel.

- The ocean view of the beach
- Easy check-in, VG quality towels and amenities, and breakfast choice of either continental (w/eggs, bacon or sausage) or Jamaican (saltfish-ackee, etc.). Outdoor seating for breakfast delightful.
- Restaurant staff were great
Cons -
- The picture of the hotel did not fit the accommodations. It di not look like the picture portrayed. False advertising ?
- Tiny "king" room had V small window (high above floor) w/no view; floor had a gritty film; restaurant's dinner menu limited and served tepid. Busy street outside= room noise. Bathroom extremely cramped-could hard use toilet w/o knees knocking wall.
- Check-in staff were terrible. Slow , difficult to talk to too abrupt
