Hampton Inn Martinsburg

Some gentleman on the Sunday morning shift did a generous service for my mom who has limited mobility. The staff here are more likely than not to provide exceptional care.

Toilet seats are low. I noticed this as a fairly young man but for older folks it can be a burdensome challenge

I stay here frequently. The staff is great and generally responsive, maintenance less so especially over the weekend. It's in a great location for walking to anything you could possibly need. It's a solid choice for a stay in Martinsburg.

Filters were expired for all water fountain/bottle refill stations... for at least two weeks. I was mostly able to get bottled water from the front desk.

I stay here all the time. It's a right off of 81 and you're within walking distance of anything you could possibly need during your stay. I've been impressed with the front desk support and have always felt well-accommodated. Great value.

The value of this hotel sometimes attracts folks who don't know how to comport themselves in a shared space but this is the only place I stay in the area. Occasionally, I wish they'd vacuumed a little better.

Convenient

Yes, the air-conditioning unit was very noisy. Also they should have restriction s on how close people can smoke pot to the building. My room stunk of it my last night there. It might be their right to smoke it, but also my right to not have to smell it

It was better than we expected. The staff was great and breakfast was good.

The handicap doors at the room entrance didn't work and the doors were heavy.

Very clean. Front desk people were totally awesome and friendly.

The water pressure was really low and water was too soft. The grab bar in the shower should have some texture to enable better grip when wet/soapy. The floor of sort gets really slippery when wet an soapy (probably because of the water softener used)

We stayed for two nights with six rooms as families with young kids. Despite calling weeks in advance for connected rooms, none were provided. Housekeeping didn?t show the next day, and we weren?t informed this wouldn?t be available at check-in.

Helpful staff, overall cleanliness, room layout.

They missed one wake-up call. They missed one maid service which wasn't really necessary anyway.

Proximity to everything. Good value for your money if you book right. Some rooms are problematic but on a slow weekend they used to be able to reassign you.

Front desk support is on the decline. Phones are not answered and room assignments have been mixed up. There seems to be a massive shuffling of staff recently.

Got into my preferred room, it was very clean. Staff was helpful. Very good stay. Favorite place to stay in Martinsburg. Lots of places within a short walk from the hotel.

Quiet, clean, attention to detail, comfortable bed, good A/C, nice shower with plenty of hot water, decent breakfast selections with plenty of fresh fruit.

Typically love this hotel and stay here once or twice a month. Seems like there's been a massive turnover in staff recently. Given our history, I'm trying to grade on a curve given this last visit.

Someone had been smoking cigars in the room. A cigar wrapper was still on the floor (room had not been vacuumed as well). The room was doused with fragrance I tried to disperse with my door propped open blasting the A/C trying to ventilate the room.

My favorite place to stay in Martinsburg. Comfortable and walking proximity to everything you could possibly need. Staff are friendly, competent and accommodating. They just upgraded their televisions, huge but not smart (as far as I could tell)

The staff here are very helpful when any issues arise. The location is right off of 81 and is in the middle of a commercial center so not much to look at but very convenient to food and retail options, many of which are a minute or two away on foot.

There was an issue with the first room but was promptly switched to another. In the past year, I've gotten rooms with malfunctioning televisions on three occasions so I suspect they need to do some updating

The staff were friendly and the breakfast was tasty.

Our bed was soaking wet when I climbed into it. Like soaking through the mattress protector and sheets. Fortunately, we were able to switch rooms, but a little comp for our trouble would have been nice.

The room was awesome and the staff very helpful (desk clerk at check in and breakfast buffet staff).
