Good food at the restaurant

Fake scrambled eggs at breakfast, only white bread choices. Odor of a sour rag in bathroom, probably the shower curtain.

Location and outside access

Old tv with few channels and they were not clear. Bed spread was stained

Sink drain broken. Nylon sheets made you sweat. No secondary lock on the door. Big gap under the door. TV reception poor, grainy picture. Could smell smoke in non smoking room.

Close to gas and eating, breakfast was great, room clean and bed was comfortable

Stayed 3 nights. 1st night very quite, 2nd night put on road side lots of noise. 3rd night me at 66 and sister at 70 had to carry luggage etc up 15 steps. Staying 3 nights should have been serviced better.

Easy and close to the highway.

There was wa ter everywhere in the passage ways. Ice machine was out of order in our section . could not get a first floor room. water could be due to the rain .

Perfect location for access to New River Gorge Bridge area and the Park visitor's center. The hot breakfast was better than expected, and having a bar & grill onsite was very handy at dinner time - the food was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Located close to the highway, frig and microwave and coffee maker, very comfortable beds. We loved the free breakfast with fruit options. Nice to have a table in the room.

There seemed to be a fair amount of light coming into the room at night thru the top of the 5 foot long window.

close to trails and local breweries. pool and restaurant with great food on location. storm came through just before we got there and took out all electricity in the area, was still able to check into our room and get a hot shower. staff was very friendly

 the front desk was cheerful and welcoming (same on checkout!). I expected much less based on a few reviews I read. The room was clean, the beds comfortable. Had fridge/microwave which I haven't been finding in much higher end hotels.

If I had to think of something not as great? The bathoom was alittle small which was find since the sink was outside the toilet/shower area.

Friendly staff, dog friendly and a decent price. No frills but a good hot breakfast.....eggs, sausage and biscuits and gravy.

This is undoubtably the best 2 1/2 star hotel I¿ve ever stayed in! Not fancy but super clean and the staff is so accommodating. A huge plus is that in addition to a complimentary breakfast, there is a nice restaurant and awesome bar on the premises!

Nice old school hotel in the area we needed to be in. You can tell there is a lot of pride of ownership. Everyone friendly and helpful. Rood had everything we needed.

Website let me book smoking room as an option. Was not Allowed to smoke. Also stayed distance to state fair was 45 minutes. Was actually 2 hours.

Awesome location

One of the two beds in our room was filthy clearly the comforter hadn't been changed out.

Elliot's Bar and Grill disappointing. (On hotel site.) Chicken wings-only got bite-sized nuggets and slightly bigger. Hamburgers-totally dry/tasteless. Between 6:30-8 p.m. even during the week on well-staffed nights--long waits for everything.

Great location for the New River Gorge. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has really good food and friendly staff.Hot breakfast served daily.

excellent service, good breakfast offerings, location, and room quality. The room was good sized and had adequate furnishings for our needs.

being on the second floor. inconvenient but not a show stopper.
