place was nasty broken unrepaired items in room. drunk obnoxious ppl everywhere.b

Food

Room was disgusting. Furniture old and falling apart. No light bulbs in several lamps. Wash cloth in bathroom was torn and frayed. They charged me twice for "hold" money. Girl at front desk couldn't have cared less.

Bed(King) was very comfy, Room was nice and big

Window was boarded up..w/a portable A/C unit hosed outside..very odd. Sneaky attempt to apply a $10 "service fee" to bill even tho all fees and taxes already paid for. Lucky I caught it at checkout, disputed charge and they allegedly reversed it.

The spaciousness of our room. The amenities. The complimentary water and tea in the lobby.

The WiFi didn’t work The hot breakfast ended too soon. The exercise room was hard to find and staff didn’t even know where it was!

It was close to everything I needed it for.

It was in a decent location for our event

The room was less than clean, the stairwell was disgusting, the portable ac unit was noisy and the cardboard and duct tape was very un-classy. The stench of beer in the elevator and the room was nauseating.

The hotel was filthy! Our sheets were not changed. Food in the bed! When we asked about the cleanlliness, the staff said we can cancel and find another hotel. We were there for a wedding and nowhere else to go!!! AWFUL experience!!!

Lamp shade full of cobwebs, carpet in room stained, lever in tub broken and hanging. cabinets in very poor condition Islands in parking lot full of weeds and one with a dead tree, stayed here before Has badly deteriorated

Location

No soap in the shower. Empty box of Kleenex. Hotel is run down and it appears that they are sucking every dollar out of the place before it collapses.

Location, restaurant and bar open

No shampoo, conditioner or body wash in shower. Tv remote out of order. Hair dryer didn't work. Fridge was iced over. Bed was comfortable, hotel was quiet.

The Hotel Mead is an upscale hotel and featured nice restaurants, conference rooms, and venues for weddings.

New management is changing the look of the Hotel Mead. A sports bar with volleyball courts, a basketball hoop in the swimming pool does not mean upscale. They are catering to the younger generation.

The elevators were very sketchy. Did not always work. Outside buttons would stick. The trash can outside of the elevator doors were overflowing and were never emptied during our entire stay. Windows in room were absolutely filthy. Furniture dirty.

The staff were great, the breakfast was amazing, and the hotel bar was cool

rooms were big

many things didn't work such as equipment in fitness room. no usb or charger connections in room, only plug ins. the city of wisconsin rapids is totally dormant with no industry and closed businesses.

pool area

Hotel needs updating, furniture dingy and old, common area VERY warm. Rooms not very clean (crackers smashed in pull out couch other room had no sheets for pull out. 1 room had to change, air & phone didn't work. Breakfast barely warm, over/under cooked.

Front desk staff was friendly.

Almost everything we didn't like. You can tell the hotel WAS nice back in the day. It is out of date and a lot is just dirty. How room was musty. The furniture had visible stains that we covered with a sheet. There was no fitted sheet on our bed.

The price

The rooms need to be updated. The tile and the tub in the bath need to be replaced.

Clean and great breakfast

Flooring could definitely use some updating (separating at seam by bathroom), decor is dated

The restaurant was very good. The staff was awesome. The free breakfast was decent.

The air conditioning didn't really work. It was on but the room never got cooler than 76. For some that is fine but for my family it was too hot. There was a mildewy smell to the room. And there were cobwebs every where
