The location is decent for walking distance to bars and other good destinations

The rooms are absolutely terrible. I had to be moved twice and it fixed nothing. My bed was so hard I couldn't actually sleep and supposedly I had an executive suite. Worst stay do NOT stay here, I will never go back nor advise please to stay there

The location for any downtown activities was great. You can walk just about anywhere. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. The lounge and restaurant in the lobby was amazing!

There was a VERY strong odor of floral air freshener in the hallway that seeped into the room. It was almost nauseating. There were ice machines on only two floors, and one of them was out of order.

Location was perfect for a concert at The Riverside. The Aveda toiletries were a nice touch. The rooftop bar area was great.

The hotel smelled musty and it definitely needs updated to meet its 4 star rating. It was expensive for what it was. We were wishing we had paid the little bit extra to stay at the Pfister.

The room was clean and very comfortable.

It would have been nice to have had cream and sugar available to go with coffee.

We loved that it wasn't a cookie-cutter hotel room. Mainly, it was HUGE! There was a really nice seating area and a separate bedroom. The bathroom was really nice and spacious too.

I would like to see a better continental breakfast option at a reasonable cost. We ended up getting breakfast sandwiches around the corner. The french restaurant is very nice - just not our taste.

Bartender's friendliness, Front Desk staff's professionalism, and the Bedroom especially the fireplace.

Hot tub was not in service . No free parking.

Great location to much of Milwaukee. Historic hotel, beautiful and spacious room. ( should have unlimited coffee though). Wonderful staff. Friendly and polite.

Charging extra for a second cup of coffee? Seriously. Thst was the only problem though. Nothing too serious.@

Heat makes banging pipes noise. Its an old building and not a dealbreaker.

The pipes in the heat in system flunked and pinged 'll night. Worst nights sleep for the both of us.

The Sunday brunch in the hotel restaurant is delicious. Location was nice. Could walk to multiple restaurants and activities in the area.

The building is old, and it shows. Room did not feel as clean as it should have. Bathroom needed work. Shower was falling apart all along the bottom. Did not even use the tub. Sound also travels easily through vents. Hard to sleep as a light sleeper.

Air conditioning and room thermostat were not working. Front desk offered fans. That's it? How about a room change or refund? Also dishes from room service in the hallway for hours. Strong smell of a Lysol type product through out the hotel hallways.

It was not up to par with the star rating. It was supposed to be a retro luxury hotel and it was more retro less luxury. Nothing was up to date and the room was sub par. Def not worth the rate either. Will never stay there again.

The staff was pleasant, it was close to the lake. They shipped a lost item to me.

Drapes did not close.

Staff was very friendly and responsive to our requests.

Expect extra charges for everything including local phone calls. Not a problem since most of us have cell phones now but something to be aware of.

The only thing that I did not like was when I booked for dinner at the hotel they told me when we arrived that they was not serving anything on the menu and if we wanted to dine we had to order off the valentines day menu and it was $70 a head to$100
