The location was great for exploring downtown Madison and the capital. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Really nice view out to the lake.
We normally keep a light on in the bathroom, unfortunately the setup of the door caused this to let way too much light in the room while sleeping.

Excellent location—
When we tried to eat breakfast at the hotel, our only option that day was the buffet…. not the ala cart menu. We skipped the buffet because it would have been way too expensive and way too much food for two adults and one child, but the ala carte menu would have been perfect. Definitely not a deal breaker for us as the hotel was perfect, otherwise.

Everything. Location was excellent, value was great, room quality was lovely. We did not eat or drink in the restaurant, but the space looked nice.

The location is phenomenal. Also the lobby is absolutely beautiful. This is clearly a beautiful hotel with a lot of history.
The room was not exactly what was expected. It was clean, but unfortunately not very private nor as comfortable as we were led to believe. However, I will take full responsibility for not upgrading our room when offered at check-in, we wanted to be near the pool for our 9 year old.

Great location. Lovely restaurant with lots of menu choice and plenty of seating. Friendly staff and really nice room.
A little expensive, but seemed in keeping with prices in the area, so it's not priced above its value.

The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful. The valet was fantastic. The hotel was very clean, very quiet, and a great location.
