Very good location, cozy room, very comfortable beds. The bedroom was clean, the microwave and the coffee machine were functional, and the heating was good. There is a machine with cold water, hot water and ice at the ground floor. The express checkout is convenient.
The check-in counter was across the street, at another inn. The shower had a low pressure. There is a stove and an oven in the room, which (permanently) don't work - so I don't see the point of keeping them in the room.

Location was great. In the middle of everything. Close to restaurants, shops and parks.
They did advertise and I was aware at time of booking, but the rooms do not have A/C. It's seattle so the weather is usually pretty good, but my room was very stuffy in the afternoon. I was sweating just sitting still. The bathroom was extremely small and uncomfortable, even.

Beautiful, historic hotel. Well preserved historic lobby. Wonderful friendly staff, very helpful.
Rooms decor still stuck in the 70's

Our party of 6 stayed for 2 nights at the hotel. The location is quite central, near restaurants and shops. The prices were quite competitive compared to other hotels around the area. it is a short walk to the Ferries and waterfront area.
The hotel and rooms are very old and running down. The kitchenet and cooktop are there but there were just for decoration, not functional. Given the prices, I guess we got what we paid for.

Room was clean. Location ok to access downtown and the bay, however is 10 blocks uphill and some of the blocks were about a one in four incline. Not a great location for older people, anyone unfit or with a disability.
Room was equipped with small kitchenette area, a cooker that was not working and a sign that said 'you are welcome to use microwave' however there were no plates or eating utensils. Kitchen equipment was a coffee machine, fridge and 2 mugs and 2 glasses. Room was old, drab and tired, wardrobe was a satin curtain from the 60s, no safe and no other facilities. Appreciate this is a city hotel however it was still circa $200 for one night, no breakfast. No staff at all on Saturday morning, only a note to say go to hotel opposite if you need something! Only found out I could store my luggage there from a fellow resident who had to phone to find out.

Decent location. Clean rooms.
Staff never came during the day to refresh the room, there is no A/C, so room got stuffy and balmy, even with Seattle temps. The fridge didn't really work. Just a little too far from the downtown stuff to be worth walking to and from.

This hotel is unusual in that it is a reasonably priced in an expensive area. I expected to be underwhelmed but was pleasantly surprised by how clean fresh interesting and characterful it was. The staff were welcoming and helpful. My room was fresh with windows that actually opened and I was very comfortable there. I would definitely go again.
It’s quite a hill to climb, but once I found the Downtowner bus in the next street problem solved.

Ease of check in, cozy, unique, not modern and updated, amenities like right next to the city and unique Seattle "things! Staff was welcoming and kept me on the second level so I didnt have to carry my bags to the top floor. Personable, helpful, courteous staff. Making jokes and making it feel like friends or colleagues rather than sterile, unhelpful experience. Customer service! Stylish rooms, and I was fortunate to have just returned from a vacation and was tired. This was the tail end of my vacation.
Um, maybe was a little noisy in the evening but overall pretty calm for its location. And had vending machines and in room convenient coffee and tea. More television channels and the rooms were not the absolute cleanest as they seemed to accumulate dust and debris if you looked closely.
