- Location
- The feeling of being in a high quality Victorian hotel. The fact that it's right downtown, high end gym access across the street, and you are staying in the old towns bank!
- It was cute and local.
Cons -
- The price was too high for what we got (more than -- dollars per night for a tiny room with a shared bathroom and no elevator). Noisy at night.
- Having to share a bathroom, i did notice the maids do bathroom checks quite frequently though.
- It is a great location but our room was next to the sidewalk and throughout the night you could hear people outsdie shooting the breeze.

Great quality sheets and towels. Well decorated and in a good location (central) in ballard.
Good quality decorating, sheets and towels do not complenaate for a bad location (first floor street level) and poor insulation. It was so loud from foot traffic all night it felt as if there was a pary in our room. Dirty bathroom fan/vent etc
Very charming, cute neighborhood, excellent bed, nice to see a big pot of coffee on the table in the morning.
lights were dusty, everything else was very clean
It was very charming.
My mistake that I did not understand the shared bathroom.
Location and price.
Great small boutique hotel, minor ammenities but all really clean and nice and bed super comfie… we shared facilities and they were super clean and it was not awkward
I liked it all, would have been nice to have a person at front desk but it was no problem
Very central location. Access to amazing gym and swimming facilities. Lots of character and charm in hotel as well as street
Because it’s an old building, there is a bit of noice
Great location and charming environment
External noise from people on the street in the very early morning. Old building so noice insulation is not up to modern standards. They did provide ear plugs in the room.
You can't beat the location. You can wake up in the morning on Sundays and the Ballard market is just outside your door. There are so many great restaurants within steps. The beds are so cozy and the facility is well kept.
If you don't like the idea of a hostel style shared bathroom situation this place isn't for you.

The location was superb. The bathroom was right across the hall from our room which was convenient.
The choice/theme of the decor was not my personal style but that’s me being nit-picky. I also would have preferred a hair dryer in the room instead of the bathroom. I felt like i was taking up too much bathroom time when only one of them had a shower.
The Ballard Inn location is amazing. Close to cafes, restaurants, bars and shopping. Sunday farmers market was also a bonus!
This place is nothing much, but I'm giving it a 9 nevertheless. Why? The staff were wonderful, and the location was ideal. I had a couple of emergencies -- one with my health, the other with my rental car -- while there, and the hotel concierge was extremely kind and helpful.
The room was tiny and cramped.
Room was clean and was ventilated (I could open the windows).
Street noise, as well as noise from other guests (especially after 1 AM having special times I'd rather not hear...). A lot of bars and restaurants nearby which is kind of nice, but I would have preferred a grocery store within 2 blocks instead. The nearest grocery stores are not far away but too far to feel comfortable walking there alone after 9pm. Other neighborhoods (Ravenna, Queen Anne, Fremont, Montlake, Bainbridge, etc.) are far more pleasant locations in my opinion. Ballard is very industrial and treeless. I won't stay in Ballard area again.

The area and the employees of their sister hotel (The Ballard Hotel) were great. The manager of the Ballard Inn was not helpful and could care less that I was up for 48 hours due to the heat in the room.
The room was so hot due to no air conditioning and there was only a small window.I didn’t get any sleep for 2 days and the manager didn’t do anything about it.I would never have booked the room if I knew they didn’t have air conditioning.Completely ruined my trip inSeattle. The manager was terrible.Had noempathy at all.
Perfect location, nice furnishings, clean bathrooms.
The rooms are so tiny; it's not a place to hang out, only to sleep. No fridge or microwave, and have to go across the street to get ice.
such a sweet Inn this was, it was very clean considering there was a shared washroom. The bed was very comfortable too.
it was quite loud outside but they have provided me with ear plugs.
