    • Location and price was below other hotels in the area.
    • The hotel is right next to the campus of the University of Washington. The check-in desk is conveniently located in the convenient store next to the hotel.

    Cons -

    • The room did not look anything like what was advertised. The room was small and hot and very expensive. I didn't see anyone for two days. No one informed us there was coffee upstairs.
    • Noise level; I could hear neighbor on my floor's Skype conversation a little too clearly. As well, I could hear the guests below me until midnight. Is there no 10pm curfew?!
    • The hotel was built in 1909 and due to its age, there is no private bathroom. To make matters worse, one of the two shower rooms on the floor I lived in was not functioning.

    Literally nothing.

This was by far the worst hotel stay i have ever had. The worst customer service i have ever received from the woman who checked us in. The room was filthy, we have all of our belongings in plastic bags that need to be soaked in hot water to prevent pests

Close to the University - one block from the concert hall.

The WiFi was unusable - it disconnected often and when it was connected, it was slow. On the last day I stayed there it couldn't even connect to the internet.

Staff in store inattentive, breakfast is a lie, place is filthy and parking terriable. Not worth the price!

The College Inn was very close to campus which is perfect for visitors. The complementary breakfast was better than I expected - it included tea, coffee, cereal, bagels and oatmeal.

The check in was in a grocery store. The girl at the desk was extremely unfriendly and rude.

Good location near UofW, quaint older building (historic?)

It was beautiful. Very cozy. Loved the window seat and being able to open it for fresh air. Also loved the stained glass and the loft.

Cozy and nicely updated rooms. Was very quiet and the loft was a nice place to relax and have a cup of coffee or tea. We stayed for an appt at the University of Washington hospital and the location is great. You could definitely walk to the hospital from the hotel. Beds were comfortable and rooms had everything you needed.

The parking isn’t very convenient and it’s a very busy area with college students. There isn’t air conditioning or stairs but the rooms have ceiling fans and oscillating fans as well. The stairs weren’t an issue for us but could be if you had mobility issues.

    Cozy room with greatcwindow bench

Too many texts and emails ahead of the visit. I got 18 emails and 5vtexts, most giving the same information. Getting in the door for check in was confusing.

Super cute! Right next to a Café and in a pretty safe area.

They mentioned no AC in the email after I already bought the stay. Probably a fault of the booking website I used and not the property. But it was extremely hot. They did provide fans and we brought a couple of our own so it worked out eventually. I was also very confused about parking. I ended up having to park somewhat illegally but no ticket so hooray.

It was clean and comfortable and the location is very good, especially for the university district. I liked the digital sign in and check out, I thought it was convenient.

No air conditioning, not that it needed it, but the room was pretty hot when I got there and it took a while for it to cool off.

    1LeoPosted on: 7-30-2025

No air conditioning, no screens on windows, no elevator… all of which is billed as “European style” rather than being clearly communicated. The manager, Michael, was very unpleasant to deal with.

    8SarahPosted on: 7-26-2025

Extremely comfortable and easy to find. I got free street parking bc it was after 8pm when I checked in. I had a private bathroom which was great.

There were very many text messages and emails before checking in even though I’d already booked and laid on booking.com. It was very frustrating and stressful bc it wasn’t clear if I had completed the pre check in requirements (which demanded my credit card). I think the system glitched a few times. When traveling you’re already busy and don’t always have access to internet and your phone so this felt like a major negative. However, once I got to the hotel all was easy and smooth.

    6NathanPosted on: 7-13-2025

The main attraction for us was the location. My husband had an appointment at UW Medical Center and we were able to walk. The room was very clean.

We were given the wrong room information and the staff person helped us put the code in to open the door. Unfortunately it was someone else's room! We were eventually able to get into the correct room. The room was very clean and the only complaint we had was that the pillows were so hard that we really didn't sleep well.

    2MohamedPosted on: 6-24-2025

The location was closed to the event, there was no breakfast included.

The room is so small, no room to move, only one bed, the mattress was so bad, when I called to upgrade the Room the service representative didn't explain everything to me (the other option), and the staff guy didn't explain the right Parking address appropriate to me, so I got a ticket, and when I explained that to him, he didn't showed any interest.
