Seattle Marriott Waterfront

Amazing hotel in the first row of the Waterfront, with beautiful views, amazing breakfast, very friendly and very helpful staff, the room was very nice and spacious with everything you need inside.

Daily automatic surcharge of $28 to which you can charge $20 at bar or restaurant. I shouldn't have to be forced to spend my money at their facility. They were going to charge you the $28 whether you used it or not.Bathroom lights are on timed motion sensor so everytime you took a shower, the room would go black mid shower and you would have to open shower door and flail you arms to get the lights to go back on. Could contribute to a fall from elderly visitors in the future.

The room was clean

The location should have been great – waterfront views, close to the aquarium, and everything within walking distance. However, what the listing failed to mention is that the hotel sits directly in front of the Norwegian Cruise Line port. Every morning, a massive cruise ship blocks the view and clogs the area. On top of that, there was ongoing boardwalk construction, which added to the noise and disruption – again, no prior warning in the description.For the high price point, this felt more like a motel than the Marriott experience I’ve had in Europe or the UK. No robes or flip flops unless requested, and even then it took over an hour. No assistance with luggage either was suggested.This was a disappointing stay and likely my last Marriott booking in the U.S. – I’ll stick to international Marriotts going forward, where service and value still seem to matter.

Great location, wonderful to walk around Seattle and get the chance to see such an amazing city

Staff were dismissive, the food and drinks very expensive and we didn't like all the extra charges for room service. We travel a lot around the world and I often judge a hotel on the staff, if they are too busy with each other and don't loom at you, even if they are busy, I am disappointed.The bar staff were excellent but the bar food a little short on choices.Don't order room service.. such a disappointment. Cold and ridiculous extra charges like delivery... should have gone out.
