Its location.
Great location near restaurants, bars, and the water.
The room had great views and it was clean. The bed was comfortable and the pillow was nice fluffy.

Cons -

1. 56 stairs to our 3rd floor room. 2. The room furniture was old and shabby. 3. The advertised coffee and tea service was nonexistent. 4. Tiny little flat-screen tv at the far end of the room. 5. At ~$---night, it was overpriced by far.
Older, but we knew that when we booked.
The rooms were not as well appointed as I expected. There were ragged edges on the curtains, the overhead ceiling fans were not working. It was a top floor room - no elevator. Two long steep staircases which were hard to climb with luggage.

Friendly welcoming staff. Bed was comfortable and quiet hotel. I stayed two nights and found the hotel to be centrally located on the main street of Port Townsend. Be prepared for stairs and lots of them as the rooms are all on the upper floors.

The rooms were not as well appointed as I expected. There were ragged edges on the curtains, the overhead ceiling fans were not working. It was a top floor room - no elevator. Two long steep staircases which were hard to climb with luggage.
